Chapter 20

(Y/n)'s POV
I started walking away from the dining hall when I heard the doors open and close again. I turned around and saw Shuichi walking towards me. I continued walking.

"Why did you lie, (Y/n)? You usually don't lie." Shuichi asked as soon as he caught up to me. "Because I can." I replied. I guess I didn't have an actual reason why.

"Does this have something to do about Kokichi?" He asked. "Why does it matter so much that I told a lie for fun? Huh?" I answered his question with another question. "Because it's not like you. You don't lie for fun, Kokichi does!" Shuichi said. "Well you don't actually know me, do you!?" I stopped walking.

He stayed silent. "You have no clue if I lie all the time like Kokichi! The only difference is that you know he lies because he makes it extremely obvious! You all are so dense! You can't even tell when he was being genuine about his emotions! You guys just kept calling him a liar when he did! You guys think everything he says is a lie! Like when he said that Miu tried to kill him!Everyone except me, Maki, and Rantaro said he was lying! Even Maki knew that it might not have been a lie! You guys are also very rude to him, too! 'You're alone and will always be'! Who says that!?" I ended up ranting about Kokichi while Shuichi stayed quiet.

"Look, I-" Shuichi tried speaking but got cut off.

"What's all the noise out here?" I saw the others walking up to us from the corner of my eye. It was Kaito who was talking.

I put a big smile on my face. "Don't worry. It's nothing. Me and Shuichi were just talking." I said. "Yea." Shuichi agreed.

"Alright, of you guys say so." Kaito replied. Then they all started leaving. Tsumugi and Kiibo went back in the dining hall, Maki went outside and Kaito followed her, Shuichi and Himiko stayed with me.

"Hey, (Y/n), I know how you must feel about Kokichi and Rantaro, despite the fact that you keep smiling. Like Tenko said, it's ok to show your emotions." Himiko said before leaving. The way she went looked like she was going to her ultimate lab.

"Shuichi, you know how you said you loved Kokichi?" I said as soon as I knew no one could hear us. Shuichi nodded.

"If you actually did, why did you say what you said to him? Those were you're last words ever to him."

"..." Shuichi didn't say anything at first. "I just didn't like that he punched Kaito and called him pathetic." He said.

"I understand. I wouldn't like it if someone did that to my best friend. But for one, Kaito literally punched you for crying over Kaede. Two, he tried to punch Kokichi for saying stuff but ended up punching me. Three, Kaito was coming after Kokichi first." I stated. Shuichi stayed quiet.

I got an idea. "Shuichi, just help me with something. I'll forgive you if you do what I say. Let's get the others too." I said. He looked at me confused but agreed.

"I'll get Kaito and Maki." He said. "Then I'll get the others. When you get them, let's meet in front of the dorms."

Since we were already by the dining hall, I decided to get Tsumugi and Kiibo first. I walked in the dining hall and saw Kiibo and Tsumugi just talking.

"Guys! Let's meet with the others right now. We're going to meet in front of the dorms." I told them. "Why?" Kiibo asked. "I wanna do something but I need the help of  everyone." I replied. "Alright. We'll go right now." Tsumugi said.

I walked out of the dining hall and headed to Himiko's lab. When I got there, I saw she was practicing some of her tricks.

"Hey Himiko." I said. She looked at me. Without giving her a chance to speak, I said "Let's go meet the others in front of the dorms." "What for?" She asked. "We're all gonna do something." Was all I said.
