Chapter 10

(Y/N)'s POV
      I woke up and went to the dining hall. I acted just like I always did after a trial to avoid any suspicion. After I ate, I grabbed Rantaro and dragged him away to the bathroom where he first told me that he never forgot me. "(Y-Y/N), what are you doing?" When we got to the bathroom, I answered him. "I know who the mastermind is." He looked at me with a more serious expression and said "who?" "It's Tsumugi." he nodded and said "who else did you tell?" "I told told you and Kokichi." I replied. "Don't tell anyone else. It's dangerous enough with me, you and Kokichi knowing." He said. I nodded in reply and we left the bathroom.

      Monokuma came out just like he did last time and asked the same question. "What were you guys doing in there? Were you making out?" I couldn't use the same excuse as last time so I said "H-How did you know?" I faked the shock and stutter. "We're actually together now." Rantaro said, feeding into the lie. "R-Rantaro! Did you have to tell him?" I said acting embarrassed. Then what he did next shocked me. He grabbed me by my waist, pulled me closer to him and kissed me on the cheek. "But I love you so much! I just wanna show you off to the whole world!" He said. I was really red. I wasn't acting embarrassed anymore because I actually was embarrassed. "Ok! Enough!" Monokuma said. "If you wanna continue, don't do it in front of me! Go to the dorms or just somewhere private!" He said. He started walking away. "Kids these days." I heard him mutter.

      We walked to my room, in case Monokuma was still watching on the cameras. When we went into my room, Rantaro said "(Y/N), actually I want to tell you something. I was trying to tell when I came and Monokuma interrupted." I looked at him confused. "I wanted to tell you that I actually like, no, I love you." He said. I froze and turned red. "I have for a long time, ever since we were younger." He said, laughing nervously at the last part. I jumped up and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I love you too!" I squealed.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked when we parted. "Of course!" I said. Then he grabbed me by my waist again and this time kissed me on my lips. I kissed back of course. When we separated, I asked "Are we going to tell the others?" He shook his head. "No, we can't. The mastermind could use it against us. We cuddled until it was lunch time. "Let's go eat." Rantaro said. "Ok." I agreed.

When we got to the dining hall, there was already an argument between Kaito, Miu, and Kokichi.

"Stop lying, ya dirty fucking liar!" I heard Miu shout. "But I'm not lying this time." Kokichi said happily. "Kokichi! Stop acting like this! We have to be able to trust each other!" Kaito boomed at Kokichi. "Nishishi~! Make me!" He laughed. "You know what the problem is? You all are always trying to trust each other, but you're afraid. You're afraid to accuse each other so y oh hide behind the word 'trust'. I'm telling you, that isn't a smart move. But then again, you're just not smart in general." Kokichi said in a somewhat happy/serious voice. "What's going on?" I asked as soon as Kaito opened his mouth. "Kokichi is accusing Miu of trying to kill him." Shuichi spoke up.

"Kokichi, why are you accusing Miu?" I asked. "Because I'm not stupid! I know when someone is trying to kill me! Unlike everyone else here who think that the slut is innocent!" He said, fake crying. "That's why no one believes you! You're a liar and always lie about everything!" Kaito yelled. "Kaito, be quiet." I commanded. "Buts he's right, you know. No one can tell if you're lying or not. Not to mention they don't trust you at all." I said to Kokichi. "Yea. It's hard to tell when you lie about everything. I think it's certainly possible that Miu tried to kill him. He looks like he can't defend himself." I heard Maki speak up.

"Aww! Is Maki roll defending me?" He said, using Kaito's nickname for Maki. "Don't call me that. And I'm just stating facts. I may not like you but that doesn't mean you're automatically lying." Maki said, glaring at him for the first time. "Ok. How about this. How about we have someone guard Miu, just in case he's telling the truth. We can't take any chances." Rantaro said, finally speaking up. "Fine. I guess it can't hurt to be cautious." Kaito said, finally agreeing. "Hey! I don't need anyone to guard me!" Miu spoke up. "Good. Now who's going to guard her?" I asked, ignoring Miu. "Gonta do it! Gonta want to help like true gentleman." Gonta spoke up. "Anyone have any objections? No? Good?" I said, not giving anyone a chance to object. Me and Rantaro got food and sat across from each other. Then Kokichi came up to me.

      "Is it true that Rantaro's your boyfriend?" Kokichi asked, loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. Their heads turned to me. Then I heard Tsumugi squealed "My ship has sailed!" "Why do you think that?" Rantaro asked, keeping calm even though he was a bit pink. "I told them! I heard you two talking to Monokuma about it!" Tsumugi said excitedly. "(Y/N), I'm happy for you." Himiko smiled at me. She's been more alive since Tenko died. She's now trying a lot more, for Tenko. "Thanks Himiko." I smiled back and hugged her.

      "Aww! Isn't that just adorable! They're together! But it's a weakness." Kokichi said, smiling normally then evilly. "Shut it, Kokichi! If they wanna be together then let them be!" Kaito shouted at Kokichi. I sighed in annoyance. They always find something to fight about. Maki, who was beside me, also sighed in annoyance because of Kokichi. "I'm just saying. If anything, they should've kept it a secret." Kokichi said, smiling normally again. "It's alright Kaito." I said before he could open his mouth again. "Tch. If it's fine with you then I guess. But he still needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut!" Kaito growled. "So do you. You two always argue because you're giving him the reaction he wants." I said.

      After lunch, I hung out with Himiko. She was the one I was close with, after Rantaro and Kokichi. It would've been Tsumugi, but I've been avoiding her as much as I can without being suspicious. Also it doesn't count if she was the mastermind behind this whole thing. She kept asking me questions about mine and Rantaro's relationship.

      The next day was going pretty normal so far. Me and Rantaro went to breakfast together, we ate, then I hung out with Kaito. I wanted to get along with him better. Even if he is loud. While we were hanging out, I asked to keep it down as much as he could. He didn't want to but did anyways. Around 2:50, we heard something we really didn't want to hear.

      A body has been discovered! Now then, after a certain amount of time, the class trial will begin! You may use this time however you like. Please come to the girls bathroom in the first floor.

      Then the announcement ended. "Come on, Kaito!" I ran ahead quickly. I wanted to get there to make sure Himiko was alright. "Wait up (Y/N)! You're too fast!" Kaito called out but I didn't listen. "Hurry!" I called back. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw Himiko standing outside of the bathroom. She was standing next to Maki, Shuichi, and Gonta. There were still other possibilities of who the victim was. It was either Miu, Kiibo, Rantaro or Kokichi. It could've also been Tsumugi but I highly doubt that.

      "Is the body in the bathroom?" I asked Shuichi. I heard Kaito finally catch up. "(Y/N), you're fast." He panted out. "I had to be fast to run away from the cops." I replied. "Wait what?" I heard him. Me and Kokichi would have to steal food from the store because our parents barely fed us. We got enough for us and D.I.C.E. "Yea, the body is in there." He said. "Then why aren't you investigating?" I asked him. "I wasn't sure if it's ok because it's in the girls bathroom..." he said hesitantly. I rolled my eyes and said "of course it's ok! You're acting like we have a huge secret that we don't want anyone to see in the bathroom!" He nodded and I ended up dragging him into the bathroom after me.

      There I saw the corpse of Miu Iruma was on the bathroom floor. The tiles next to her head were smashed in and had blood dripping from it from Miu's head. She had a look a shock and fear on her face.

'Who would do this to her? Sure, I don't like her that much but that doesn't mean I wanted her to die.' I thought to myself. 'Monokuma file first.' I got out the Monokuma file.
