"We are here to laugh at the odds and live
our lives so well that death will tremble
to take us."

The music from the trumpets echoed throughout the throne room, creating a rather blaring reverb. Narnians gathered on either side of the two rows of Centaurs, chatting as they waited patiently for the Pevensies to arrive.

Jack stood next to Andie, who had changed into a deep red gown with gold embellishments, similar to the dresses she used to wear for balls. Her hair flowed down her back, a braid running along the back of her head.

Jack felt a pang of sadness - if he imagined her with dark hair, she looked just like their mother.

"What's wrong?" Andie asked.

Jack mentally cursed himself for allowing his expression to falter. This was supposed to be a joyous day; he didn't want Andie to be upset. "Nothing, you just look a lot like Mother, that's all."

Andie's expression softened and she took his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "And you look a lot like Father."

Heads turned as Aslan approached the front of the room, the Pevensies walking alongside him. Their outfits were made of velvet and were very regal; It reminded Jack of what he used to see his Aunt and Uncle wearing.

It was hard to believe that these children were the same children he had met in the woods not so long ago.

Jack felt his heart hammering in his chest as he watched the Pevensies approach the front of the room. They each stood in front of their respective thrones, turning to face the Narnians.

Aslan's eyes met Jack's and he nodded.

Jack took a deep breath, glancing at Andie for a moment before the two of them approached the front of the room. He slowly ascended the steps, pausing to bow to Aslan before he turned towards a very confused audience. Even the Pevensies didn't seem to know what was happening.

He took another breath. "I, Jackson Omar Frost III, a surviving descendant of Frank I, hereby renounce my claim to the Narnian throne. I, Jackson Omar Frost III, hereby pledge my loyalty to the future Kings and Queens of Narnia and will henceforth serve under their reign. I, Jackson Omar Frost III, pledge my life and protection to the throne, for death or for worse."

Jack bowed to the Pevensies and then once more to Aslan before he stepped aside for Andie.

"I, Andra Orelia Frost, a surviving descendant of Frank I, hereby renounce my claim to the Narnian throne. I, Andra Orelia Frost, hereby pledge my loyalty to the future Kings and Queens of Narnia and will henceforth serve under their reign. I, Andra Orelia Frost, pledge my life and protection to the throne, for death or for worse."
