Alexander or as he liked people to call him, Alex was walking down the hall towards his locker. The pack members passing him on the hallway bowed or waved at the future alpha. Too shy to actually talk, Alex passed polite smiles towards the pack members. Alex was the future Alpha of the Storm Blood pack which was the largest and the strongest pack in the supef natural world. Alex came from a line of strong alphas, his great-grandfather was the strongest Alpha in the werewolf community and his family followed his great-grandfather's footsteps. Being an Alpha was a great responsibility, it made one responsible for the happiness, health and safety of the pack members. But Alex wasn't afraid, he had confidence in himself and the moon goddess. He believed the moon goddess knew the best and if she chose him for the role than he deserved it. When he reached his locker, his two best friends- Benny and Claire were there as always waiting for the future alpha to show up. Benny was the first to spot Alex and he ran towards his best friend to greet him with a hug.
"I missed you sooooooo much Alexi." He dragged the so to make sure Alex understood how much he misses him.
"I missed you too Benny." Alex grinned at his best friend, happy to see him after a month. Benny returned the smile with his closed- eyes-face-splitting grin.
"Really boys, am I a statue to you?" Claire scrawled at the two boys and pushed Benny away from Alex and hugged him tightly.
"I missed you more Alex, more than this hedgehog." Claire and Benny were always like that calling each other names and fighting but never fought seriously just playful banters.
"At least this hedgehog doesn't go around with a fake ass wig on his head." And here they go again.
"This ain't fake boy, these are a hundred per cent real." Alex was happy to be forgotten about, at least he could take out his books without one or both of them clinging to him.
"Then why don't you let me touch them? Afraid I would snatch your wig?"
"Guys shut it." However playful the banters were they always cause Alex to have a headache at the end of the day. Both his friends closed their mouth at ones, Benny being Benny pouted the whole way to the class. When they were about to enter the class they were met with as Benny described them most unpleasant to eyes faces. One of them bumped into Benny deliberately.
"Watch where you going midget." Aron, a jock with notorious reputation barked at Benny.
"Oh my bad, didn't see I ran into a misplaced garbage bin?" Benny scrawled at him, not a bit intimidated.
"What type of pack is alpha Michael leading where he can't even control omega bitches?" He smirked at Alex as he spat the words. Alex may be shorter than most of the alphas but he wasn't a coward or afraid of empty words. Being the leader he was he pushed Benny and Claire behind him and faced the bastard that dared to bad mouth his friend, father and pack simultaneously.
"He is leading a pack where everyone is treated with respect regardless of their status. Mothers are the most respected people in our pack, treated even higher than the alpha. And they are also the most vicious warriors of our pack you won't want to face one on a bad day pup." Alex as always spoke calmly, but the authority and power his words held had all the occupants of the hallway cowering in fear and respect. Everyone in the hallway was frozen in place, like some type of statistic spell was cast on the masses.
"Return to classes." Alex's words had people moving, even the teachers were frozen and with that Alex went to his first-class after the winter vacations with his friends on the toe.
"You should have let me deal with that asshole, I would have ripped him a new one and showed him who was the bitch." Benny fumed, his pout getting more prominent.
