Chapter 14: befriending the enemy's enemy.

Alex and Kevin were getting ready to attend River's coronation. Alex and River were the same age, just born seven days apart. The coronation ceremony of the Eclipse Moon pack was going to be different from that of Shadow Moon pack. Alpha Michael didn't invite other packs to Alex's coronation, the event from eleven years ago made him wary of other packs invading the pack territory. River and Jordan along with some-more pack members were only allowed to attend Alex's coronation because they were Alex's childhood friends. But that wasn't the case with alpha Nathaniel, River told them his father invited the sisters, the serens and even some packs from the west. The sisters and the serens were the main reason Alex was attending the event. He sent his messenger to the sisters and the serens but he knew they don't bat a lash before throwing his proposal to the dustbin. He needed to meet them in person and convince them to side with him. Sisters and the serenes were three neutral packs. The Red moon pack and the Blood moon pack, known as the sisters were formed by twin alphas. They had each other's back in everything if Alex convinced even one of the alphas then he would be able to gain the support of both. At the moment both the alphas were female and Alex had a pretty good argument prepared to ally himself with them. The challenge was the Serene Lake pack and alpha Graham. Alpha Graham's pack was the second largest and strongest pack in the states just after Alex's. If he wanted, he could give Alex a run for his money alone. His warriors were vicious and unforgiving. They believed in killing first and asking later. And after alpha Graham's elder son was killed by the alpha of the Blue Moon pack, he became the cold man he was now. The only pack he was an alley with, was the Eclipse Moon pack. Year's ago when alpha Nathaniel was visiting the Serene Lake pack for a possible alliance the pack went under attack. The Blue Moon pack attacked them out of nowhere killing the alpha's twelve years old son, alpha Nathaniel saved the alpha's five years old son. Alpha Graham wiped the Blue Moon pack in his rage and alpha Nathaniel gained alpha Graham's life long loyalty.

"What are you thinking love?" Kevin whispered in Alex's ear, his hot breath sending shivers down Alex's body.

"About alpha Graham." Alex quickly buttoned his maroon shirt and moved to put his black suit jacket on.

"How dare you? Thinking about other males when I am still in the room?" Kevin whispered seductively in Alex's ear licking his ear shell and pulling a moan out of him. Strong arms snaked around Alex's petite waist and pulled him in his mate's hard chest.

"So it means I can think about other males when you are not in the room?" Alex teased his mate, Kevin growled and attacked his mate's neck. Biting and sucking on it harshly, the trail of bruises showing his possessive nature.

"I would rather have you under me, withering, moaning, drunk with pleasure screaming only my name as I pounded into you," Kevin growled thrusting his groin into his mate's ass showing his mate how enticing the thought was to him.

"As-as much as I-I would love you doing just that to me. We have an event to attend and allies to make so you better behave." Alex said breathlessly enjoying his mate's rough treatment. And as much as the idea was arousing to him he wanted to get in the good grace of the three alphas today.

"You are such a mood killer." Arms disappeared from Alex's waist, he turned around to find his mate looking away from him. Kevin had his arms crossed over his chest and was visibly pouting.

"Now I know how you and Esme get along so well." Alex snickered at the pouting warrior and went back to getting dressed.

"That's not what you said to Esme yesterday when he was pouting," Kevin grumbled and excited the closet as he was already dressed. Alex couldn't help the smile that graced his lips. He remembered how Esme pouted when he denied him one more cookie and Kevin was right, he didn't say anything to Esme. Alex always told Esme to kiss the pout away and that's what Alex did, he kissed Esme's pout away and it looked like the big bad alpha wanted him to do that to him too.
