THE VACATION.

“Mikan!!!!” I shouted at the top of my lungs when I saw him inside my penthouse here in London.

Matapos ang lahat ng ka-hectic-an ko sa araw na ito, umuwi kami ni Mama Hector and the rest of the team ng madaling araw na kaya nang makita ko si Mikan na nandito na sa penthouse kahit it’s almost dawn na, ay sobrang tuwa ko.

Wearing his usual band look: black leather jacket, black statement shirt, faded jeans, black sneakers that probably came from Converse, and his ball cap that he wore backwards. A sly smile formed into his lips that revealed his hidden dimples. His pixie hair looks neat, sa tantiya ko bagong haircut ito or bagong trim, I don’t know, it’s in between. Mukhang wala namang nagbago sa usual pixie hair cut niya so I think it’s the latter. His skin is more paler from the last time I saw him personally. Oh well, he’s after all an Osmeña and Osmeñas are the palest of them all when it comes to skin color, they were known for that. Mikan’s tall. He’s about five eight. He was once skinny, hindi masiyadong mahilig sa pagkain kaya payat. But looking at him now, he’s far from the skinny Mikan I grew up with. His built is more manly than his past form. And his scent, even though I’m inches away from him, dominated my sense of smell.

I hugged him the tightest. When did my bestfriend grew up this well? No wonder girls literally threw them self with him.

“Hi, Mikan. Good to see you again.”

They had a quick conversation before he gave his full attention to me.

He remain pokered face until a sly smile flash on his face.

I pouted cutely. So generous talaga ng bestfriend ko. Grabe! Parang walang nagbago. Consistent ang friendship namin since day one, since we were little. I hugged him again, this time, mas relax na. I’m feeling a little bit of my comfort zone. Little bit lang talaga.

Spill it! I have three days to entertain you.”

“Three days? Is that enough time to go to LA?”

“LA? Los Angeles? Ano namang gagawin natin sa California? Marami namang spot dito sa London that’s worthy of our time.”

May kinuha siya from his leather jacket and I watched him raise it in midair. I saw two tickets and my eyes widened when I saw what those ticket were for.

“NBA for two. Bucket list, remember? Although Kiara won’t be here, but it’s fine daw-”

The ticket looks authentic. It’s real and it’s even on VIP. I’ve seen tickets of NBA games because I went to one of those games before, like whenever I got a chance to be in America, especially California, since Lakers were the team na napagkasunduan naming tatlong gustuhin back in high school. Then we made this bucket list of us. And one of it is to watch Lakers play in live.
