Atticus got up from his desk and out to his car. He had on a black suit and silver tie. He got in the car and drove over to Meredith and Derek's. He knocked on the door, Amelia opened the door in jeans and a nice top. Atticus leaned in and kissed her "You look perfect Ms. Shepherd." She smiled at him while he walked her to the car. They drove to his penthouse in downtown Seattle.

"What are we doing tonight?" Amelia giggled as he led her to the elevator. He just smiled and led her into the entrance way of his penthouse. The couch had blankets draped on it and he had as many movies as you could picture laid out for her to choose. Her eyes lit up as the room filled with the smell of fresh popped popcorn and candy.

They sat on the couch after Atticus changed out of his suit. Amelia chose Frozen as the movie for them to watch. Amelia snuggled into Atticus as he put his arm around her. He admired how happy she got when she sang every song at the top of her lungs. He found himself humming along as she yelled the lyrics to "Let It Go". Amelia erupted in giggles and Atticus noticed the dimple on her face when she smiled. She leaned closer into him and he let himself be happy for once in his life- he was never one for things that didn't include being active or doing something, but this for once this was all he had ever dreamed of.

The movie ended and Amelia said "I'm not tired are you?" Atticus got up and walked to the record player- yes he owned a record player. He chose "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." By Frankie Valli. He offered Amelia his hand and she took it. Her hand went on his shoulder and his around her waist. Their free hands held on to each other's and they swayed to the song. Amelia looked up at him with her blue eyes.

Those damn blue eyes.

The chorus came and when Frankie began singing "I love you baby" Atticus spun Amelia around as her laugh that he adored so much filled the room. He brought her back to him closely and Amelia laid her head on his chest. Atticus' didn't enjoy people touching his chest because of his childhood but Amelia was his weak spot. He just simply couldn't take his eyes off her.

They stood there for a moment just holding onto each other. Atticus caught himself drifting back as the music continued to run, he never felt this way about anyone not even Kate and he had asked Kate to marry him. Love wasn't something he felt often but now that he was feeling it- it scared him. He wasn't ready to love or to be loved.

Amelia on the other hand had never felt so safe in someone's arms. She was perfectly content standing right there. It was one of those moments she dreamed could last forever.
