Chapter 50: Telling The Families

Tuesday, July 14

Today was the day Amelia and Link were going to tell everyone she was pregnant. They decided to have Meredith, Derek, Link's parents, his brother and his brothers wife and daughter first. Then they would tell the hospital people.

Gail had made a fabulous dinner for everyone and it was almost time for everyone to get here.

"LINK" Amelia called up the stairs.

"What what did something happen, is everything okay?!" Link asked already way too panicked.

"My jeans don't fit." Amelia said frustrated.

"Have you tried all of them on?" Link asked calmly not wanting to send her into a rage.

"They fit last week." Amelia exasperated.

"It's okay, I'm sure there is a pair in there." Link smiled softly.

"It's not okay, I'm fat already." Amelia said crying. Hormones.

"You aren't fat babe, you're gorgeous. And you're growing our perfect babies." Link said putting his hands on her shoulders trying to calm her down.

"Whatever." Amelia sighed.

"Hey try these maybe they will fit." Link said tossing her a pair of jeans.

"See they fit. It's okay." Link said smiling. Amelia threw on a loose top over the jeans then asked.

"Does this look okay? Do I look pregnant in this?" Amelia asked.

"Well you are pregnant, and you look beautiful." Link complimented her.

Link's parents, his sister, his brother, his wife and their daughter got there first. Followed by Meredith, Derek, Zola, Bailey and Ellis.

Dinner was calm and collected if you disregard the dirty looks Ana gave Amelia the entire dinner.

It was finally time to tell them. Link and Amelia had decided on a special way to tell everyone.

"Hey Mom there is a silver frame on the counter, can you bring it in here for me?" Link asked.

"Sure?" Maureen said getting up. She walked into the kitchen and then.

"OH MY GOD AMELIA." Maureen said extremely happy running back into the room.

"YOURE PREGNANT!?" Maureen said with joy in her voice.

That prompted Austin to stand up in excitement, Della to follow behind him, Gracie, Bailey and Ellis were confused.

Derek and Meredith were overjoyed and so was Link's dad and Zola. Ana well you could see the disgust on her face from a mile away.

"CONGRATS YOU GUYS OH MY GOD." Eric smiled hugging Link and Amelia.

"This is amazing and wait IS THAT TWO BABIES ON THAT." Meredith shouted out.

"Yeah two little babies." Amelia beamed.

"Auntie Mia having a baby?" Gracie questioned.

Link picked her up and showed her the picture.

"Yeah me and your Auntie Mia are having babies." Link smiled. Gracie looked confused.

"Where are the babies?" She asked confused.

"The babies are in your Auntie Mia's tummy." Link said pointing to Amelia's bump.

"I'm so excited Auntie Amy." Zola smiled wide.

"Me too Zo-Zo." Amelia hugged her.

"Congrats sis, you're all grown up." Derek chuckled.

"Thank you Derek." Amelia smiled.

Everyone had headed home and Amelia and Link laid on the couch watching TV.

"So do you want baby boy or baby girl?" Amelia asked cuddling into Link.

"As long as they are healthy I don't have a preference." Link said making his hand comfortable on her bump.

"Baby girl would be fun. We could name her Kate." Amelia suggested.

"I really don't want to cry every time I look at my daughter." Link added.

"Well we have time." Amelia added.
