[Meredith and Derek's]
Amelia and Link both retreated to the people they knew would help them when they needed to vent. Link ended up at Kate's hotel room and Amelia ended up at Meredith and Derek's
"Amy what are you doing here?" Derek asked while opening the door clearly confused.
"I need Mer and Maggie. Link and I kind of had a falling out." Amelia said letting herself in.
She began to explain to her sisters what had happened and they sat listening. Maggie planned on being supportive and helping while Meredith was going to tell her she was a hypocrite and tell her the hard truth.
"Oh my god, times get hard and he runs to Kate. Who prefers the company of his ex girlfriend to his girlfriend?!" Amelia exclaimed walking back and forth.
"Okay you know what Amelia, I'm not Maggie so I won't sugar coat this or whatever. You say when times get hard Link runs to Kate, but when times get hard who do you run to? You run to us." Meredith stated.
"Yes but you guys are my sisters theres a difference." Amelia rebutted.
"Biologically speaking we aren't your sisters but biology doesn't matter love matters. Kate is Link's sister. Not biologically and yes they dated but she is as close to his sister as he could get. You sound like a hypocrite. You run to the people in your corner and he runs to the people in his. It's basic human nature. And lastly Kate is not the enemy here- she wants to help you, and in return you get pissed because Link turns to his sister." Meredith said leaning back to indicate she had made her point.

[Kate's Hotel Suite]
"What the fuck Atty." Kate said walking around her room pouring a small thing of whiskey from the bar downstairs.
"I mean what was I supposed to say Kate, she asked." Link exclaimed.
"Oh I don't know- if you are pregnant I will be there for you in every way, if you aren't then we need to have a serious talk about our priorities where we think we're going. Not I don't want kids, kids are gross bleh bleh." Kate mocked even sticking her tongue out to prove her point- because at the end of the day, while she gave great advice; Kate was 5 years old in her heart.
"But I had the worst parents in the world Kate; I would be the worst parent." Link defended himself to his person.
"Atty I get you think you a really shitty dad but right now you're being a really shitty boyfriend. The times got tough and you ran to me, a good boyfriend stays and works it out. I love you Atty I do but if you want my advice go fix this- don't let your relationship end over stupid arguments: AGAIN." Kate demanded gesturing towards the door signaling him to get the hell out her hotel.

Those words hit Link like a ton of bricks. He was being an asshole of a boyfriend to his girlfriend. He drove back to the penthouse as fast as he could. He walked into the entrance to find Amelia on the couch staring at the TV.
"Amelia, I was an ass. I overreacted and ran to the wrong person instead of staying with you and working this out. I'm so sorry Amelia I am." Link said sitting down on the couch next to her. She leaned into him and he wrapped his arms around her body.
"I freaked out as well. We just need to learn to talk to each other instead of running to sisters or Kate. But we're okay, we will always find a way to be okay." Amelia said softly caressing his face.
