BOOM.
The last car engine erupted into flames, Kate had thrown Link far enough but when it exploded it shot her towards him but severely burned her. She could see him, she was struggling to get air in and out.
"Atty, Atty." Kate called out.
"Kate I'm coming, don't give up on me." Link yelled back, taking up all his strength to crawl over to her.
"I'm still here Atty. You aren't losing me yet." Kate sighed.
"Are we dead?" Link asked.
"Far from it. I mean my arm and leg hurt like a mother fucker but we're alive." Kate smiled.
"Now get your ass and my ass away from these burning cars." Kate laughed.
"I fucking saved you the first time so return the goddamn favor." Kate giggled.
"Okay come here." Link said reaching out his arms for Kate. Both of them had burns and Kate was shot but they were determined to save each other.
"What do we now?" Kate asked laying on the part of the pavement that hadn't been burned yet.
"We call and hope someone can save us." Link answered.
"Who the fuck would we call?" Kate asked.
"Bruno, call Bruno. Kate I cant breathe." Link said beginning to panic.
"Shut up Atty. You aren't dying and you can breathe, I will call Bruno." Kate said snatching the hit phone from Link.

"Amelia!" Meredith exclaimed.
"What is he dead?" Amelia asked.
"No, Bruno has the location of him and Kate now promise me you won't stress too much- your baby girls can't take too much." Meredith said holding Amelia.
"I promise." Amelia said.
"Okay, the hotel and cars in the parking lot have all caught on fire. Kate was shot in the calf and shoulder. They got trapped in the fire but as far as I have been informed, Link's breathing is shallow and he's quickly loosing air, Kate might bleed out but Bruno is on a helicopter now to go get them and everyone is ready on the roof for them." Meredith said.
"He has to meet our baby girls." Amelia cried.
"He will, he will hold these baby girls so soon and they will giggle and he will sing to them." Meredith tried to lighten the mood.
"How's Kate?" Amelia asked.
"Burned badly, arms and legs. Shot in the shoulder tore a bunch of tendons, shot in the calf Ill be amazed if it's not in shambles. But she's alive. You owe her a lot, from what Bruno told me- when the parking lot erupted in flames and when the explosion happened Kate crawled through the smoke to save Link. So when you see her again, you better thank her. She saved his life." Meredith said.
"She saved mine." Amelia said in barely a whisper.
"I'll explain later." Amelia confirmed.

"Atty, I cant do this any longer. I cant see straight. Atty?" Kate muttered before loosing consciousness from heat, smoke and the amount of blood she had lost.
The exhaustion and heat had overtaken Link and he was almost giving up as well.
"How long have we been out here?" Link whispered.
"Kate?" He asked.
"KATE!?" He now yelled, he lost her once, he couldn't lose her again.
He rolled over and there was Kate, pale from blood loss with burns on her arms and legs. And blue from oxygen loss.
"Please don't die, fight a little longer for us." Link cried.
"Its you and me against the world, live so my children know who you are." Link said.
He heard helicopter blades and screamed for all he was worth. Bruno and Troy came rushing down with Austin and scooped up Link, and then scooped up Kate.
Kate was immediately hooked up to oxygen while they hooked a mask to Link as well.
"Is she going to be okay?" Link asked.
"She needs surgery I'm sure. But I'll be optimistic and say she'll be the same Kate and she's not going anywhere." Austin answered.
