Tuesday, February 18
Link was sitting in a board meeting at 9:00 A.M. on a Tuesday desperately wishing he was at home with his girl. This was about stocks and economic progress of his company- nothing he didn't know beforehand.
Amelia was in the attending lounge desperately wanting to get paged or something interesting. She wanted to see her guy, she missed him when he wasn't around. Everyone was doing paperwork or working on their laptops. She got an email from Kate and quickly realized she wasn't meant to be in the CC.
"Hey Atty, so after you gave me your very vague list of ideas, I have a bunch of foundations drawn up for you. I know you haven't specifically asked Amelia to move in with you but if she wants she is more than welcome to have an opinion on these. The only house the water is super close to the water and if you don't watch you will fall in the dark so not the best option. The neighborhood 5 minutes from downtown is super nice but all of those houses are big family houses and you're a man of luxury but I have no idea about Amelia anyway flip through these and tell which ones stand out for you.
Love you Atty, Kate."Amelia clicked on the file attached, the houses were beautiful. They all looked the same, big and they seemed like the place that was hard to make feel like a home. She recalled going to his parents- their house was a house but it lacked the warmth and love of a home.
His penthouse felt cold and distant, like love hadn't been in it for years. Yes Amelia enjoyed staying there at night because she got to see her guy but she wanted the love and warmth they had to radiate into the place and the color pallet didn't help that. It was dark and the lights were mostly dim and the entire theme was modern and sharp. Like the penthouse was designed to keep people apart, more realistically it looked like it was designed for the perfect bachelor.

His day was over. It ended early because he had something to do. He called Bruno and had him drive them to a neighborhood a little way out. Link walked up to the door and knocked on it. A little girl with blonde hair and hazel eyes opened the door."Uncle Atticus!" The little girl exclaimed jumping into his arms. Link picked her up and kicked the door closed behind him. He sat down in the living room with his brother Austin.
"So you and Amelia, engaged. I love it brother." Austin smiled while pouring a cup of coffee.
"She's the woman of my life Austin, the only one I need." Link said, sitting his niece Gracie Lynn on his lap.
"Uncle Atticus you getting married?" Gracie smiled sweetly at Link.
"Yes ladybug I am, you remember Amelia from Christmas?" Link smiled just thinking about her.
She nodded smiling, leaning back onto her uncle. Gracie knew Amelia and she had a good time meeting her. She was a go with the flow kid, when she met Kate she fell completely in love with her. Link and Kate ended up babysitting her almost every weekend they weren't traveling.
"She's really nice and pretty." Gracie giggled. She was fine with getting another auntie, more people for her to love.
"Hey can you and Amelia watch her tonight? Della and I want to have just a couples night tonight do you guys mind?" Austin asked.
"No of course not, I have to go pick Amelia up from work soon anyway so we got her." Link smiled at Gracie whose face had lit up at this point.
Tonight would be such a fun night.
