Chapter 44: Honeymoon

Sunday, June 21- Sunday, July 5

The first 6 days Amelia woke up to tropical music and the blender mixing. She walked out the bedroom with barely any clothes on thanks to the night before. Link was making smoothies and topping pancakes with fruit and whipped cream.

"Well this is a nice way to wake up." Amelia beamed at Link. He kissed her before sliding her the plate for her. She took her seat and began to eat.

After breakfast they decided to take advantage of the back of the house. Amelia held up two bathing suits and asked for Link's opinion.

"Which one black or red?" Amelia teased him.

"Red for sure, compliments your well everything." Link smiled at her. He put on his board shorts and they headed out.

They laid out in the sun and swam for practically the entire day. Link was getting himself a nice tan as was Amelia.

The next 3 days were spent with Amelia learning to scuba dive, drive a jet ski, and fishing at sunrise.

"So wait why are we awake this early it's 5:00." Amelia yawned.

"We are going on a jet ski ride, so get up silly." Link teased. Taking off his shirt to change.

"Well if you do that I'll have to drag you back in this bed." Amelia joke before getting out of bed herself. She threw on her black bikini and that prompted Link.

"Damn looking like that you're making me want to get back in bed." He said walking over to her before they pushed each other back into bed.

They were 2 hours late.

The 5 days were spent with lovemaking, swimming, slow dancing and enjoying being married.

They had christened Link's entire vila by the 6 day mark. Even the chairs outside had been touched. The pool, hot tub, bedroom, bathroom shower, living room, kitchen, guest bedroom, everywhere in the vila.

Amelia was loving being married, a built in best friend, personal diary and the best support system. They had talked about practically everything. Link talked about his childhood, how Kate's death affected him. Amelia spoke about Christopher more, her father being killed in front of her, her mother resenting her, her sisters hating her.

It was night and they were laying on a chair cuddling gazing at the stars wishing this never had to end. The relaxation, sex, and quality time together was what they both craved during the work week.

They had barely put on real clothes these past 14 days, they lived in bathing suits, pajamas, repeat. Link had to call his parents to tell them how married life was and Gracie wanted to talk to him and Amelia.

Amelia had to call Derek and he would then hand the phone to Zola who wanted all the details of the pretty place Auntie Amy was in. Amelia chuckled and went along every night with all the questions Zola asked.

They had enjoyed each other's company and then Link said the thing. The thing Amelia still wasn't used to yet.

"Is your car okay? I need a new one so if you want a new one or someone you know needs one Ill get it Melia." He smiled at her. She didn't understand how if he just felt like it he would go and buy an airline, a car, a house in god knows where, or whatever his heart desires at the time.

"No it's still really good. And why do you just decide to go buy something?" Amelia laughed.

"I just get it in my mind and then I give away my old ones to other people so you know." Link smiled.

She loved him and his craziness none the less. But she did think of one thing she wanted him to use the money for.

"Can you donate money to the homeless shelter babe?" Amelia smiled.

"Of course, whatever your heart wants. How much?" He asked getting up to get a check from his suitcase.

"What ever you think is reasonable." Amelia stuttered.

"Okay then sweetheart." Link smiled while scribbling his signature onto a check before tearing it out.

She stared at the check he handed her for the homeless shelter. $700,000. Damn. She thought, he had a lot more money than she thought and she already thought he had a lot.
