Jaehyuk was awakened by the sound of the doorbell after spending the entire night reviewing the notes his father had given him. With his older brother still in a coma following last month’s tragic accident, he had been appointed as the acting CEO. However, his father’s mistress strongly opposed the decision, insisting that her son would be more suitable for the role, as Sanha was studying business while Jaehyuk was still pursuing law. To settle the dispute, their father named them both as acting CEOs to determine who had greater potential. Even so, the board seemed to favor Jaehyuk over Sanha.

When the doorbell rang again, he rubbed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair before getting up to put on a shirt—Jaehyuk preferred sleeping without one. As he made his way downstairs, he called out, “Wait a minute!” He assumed it was his neighbor coming to complain about the noise from the night before, though he had to admit he enjoyed playing music while studying. The bell rang once more, prompting him to hurry to the door. If it had been his mother or friends, they would have let themselves into his condo using the passcode instead of ringing.

He opened the door with clear annoyance, only to find a man in a corporate uniform smiling brightly. “Good morning, sir!” the man greeted. Jaehyuk stared at him blankly, already convinced this interruption was about to ruin his morning. “What do you want?” he asked flatly.

The man’s smile didn’t falter as he continued, “Are you Mr. Yoon Jaehyuk?” Jaehyuk gave a brief nod in response.

“Great! I’m Kim Jinhwan from TRS Corp. Your mother ordered something for you. Just sign here and we’ll be done,” he said, handing over a white folder.

Jaehyuk eyed it with suspicion but signed the document anyway, recalling the message his mother had sent the night before about a delivery.

Jinhwan quickly took the folder back and gestured with his hand. At that moment, two unfamiliar people stepped forward, revealing a large box Jaehyuk hadn’t noticed behind him.

“Sir, could you move aside so we can bring this in?” one of them asked.

Jaehyuk immediately stepped back, allowing them to carry the box inside. He followed them in as they set it down, then the two workers left ahead of schedule while Jinhwan lingered behind.

“Sir, here’s the manual. Please read it carefully,” he said, handing it over before taking his leave.

Left alone, Jaehyuk glanced between the large box in front of him and the manual in his hand. Whatever his mother had ordered seemed to resemble some kind of robot. Letting out a deep breath, he grabbed a pair of scissors and cut through the tape sealing the box.

Once he was done, he carefully removed the front panel. What he saw inside made him freeze in shock—a capsule resembling a refrigerated pod with a transparent lid, revealing its contents. Inside lay a sleeping man, completely unclothed.

Jaehyuk frowned, convinced his mother must have been out of her mind when she ordered it. He quickly dialed her number.

“Hi, baby! Have you received it?” she asked as soon as she answered.

“Mom… what is this?” he replied.

“Well, as your mother, I don’t want you to feel lonely,” she explained. “So I ordered the latest robot model from TRS Corp. I know you’ll like it—it’s your type, right?”

Jaehyuk let out a quiet sigh. His mother had always been aware of his sexuality and loved him regardless, even knowing he wouldn’t be able to give her an heir someday.

“Fine, I’ll give it a try,” he replied. “But if it malfunctions, I’m returning it to that company.” With that, he ended the call and turned his attention back to the sleeping figure inside the capsule.

Now the question was—how was he supposed to wake it up?

Then he remembered the manual in his hand.

“Look for an invisible button on his neck and press it,” he muttered, skimming through the manual. Just as he was about to close it, a highlighted line caught his attention: Do not disclose to the public that he or she is a robot, or the government will destroy them.

He frowned as he read it. TRS Corp was supposedly an illegal company—but how had they managed to operate without being caught, especially while delivering something this large? Jaehyuk shook his head, deciding it wasn’t his problem to figure it out.

Dropping the manual, he opened the capsule’s lid. “All I have to do is turn it on,” he said under his breath as he slowly reached for the robot’s neck.

He expected to feel something cold and metallic, like tin, but the moment his fingers made contact, he froze. The skin was soft—warm, even—just like a real human’s.

They had made it incredibly realistic.

When Jaehyuk found the button, he pressed it without hesitation. He startled as the robot’s eyes suddenly opened, lighting up before blinking naturally. A smile formed on its lips.

“Hello, my name is Robot Model Number 7,” it said, its voice soft and almost indistinguishable from a human’s.

Jaehyuk stared in amazement. “Wow,” he breathed.

“Are you my master?” the robot asked. Jaehyuk nodded without thinking.

“Since you are my master, could you please give me a name?” it continued, raising its hand. A holographic keyboard flickered to life above its palm.

Jae considered a possible name for him, scanning the robot's face, his cat-eye, a high bridge nose, heart-shaped lips, and finally his skin is white as snow, he didn't look down as he remembered the robot was still naked, he smiled, and an idea suddenly came to him.

"I'm going to name you, Asahi. Is that okay with you?" he asked the robot, who smiled and nodded his head. Jaehyuk typed the name, and the robot's system accepted it as long as he scanned his master profile. Asahi will serve better," Asahi grumbled, and Jaehyuk smiled and gently patted the robot's head. "Now let's get you dressed," he removed cables from the robot's body and made him sit on the couch before closing the capsule. Before returning to his room to get some small clothes for him, Jaehyuk stopped by the kitchen to wash his face to see if he was dreaming, but he could still see Asahi who was sitting on his sofa, so he had no choice but to do what he had to do.

He went upstairs to get some clothes that were smaller than him, then returned downstairs to give them to Asahi, "Here wea-" his words were cut short when the door suddenly opened, revealing his friend, "Hyung did y- Oh my god!"
