Chapter 053

Titan Experiment

Jiro

I was sitting with Amir beside the riverbank. It's out third day here and I'm starting to get bored. I nerd to wait for another two days before I can step outside of the walls again. But right now, I'm Section Commander Hanes' lab rat.

"Jiro, Hanes wants to see you." Captain Lev said as he passes by. I looked at Amir before excusing myself. I walked towards the empty lot where she is currently in. Upon reaching the lot, she looks at me with her signature maniac eyes.

"Ah! Yaeger! Quick! Transform into a titan for me." She said while putting her goggles on. I gulped before picking up a sharp rock on the ground, wounding myself and eventually transforming myself into a titan.

During our time and battles here, I am able to control my titan powers better. I looked down at her and she was grinning like a titan mad scientist.

"I want to see how fast you can regenerate, so I invited Rocco with me." She said before pulling Rocco out from the tent she maid. She then told him something I can't quite hear, but Rocco also transformed into the jaw titan.

"Don't kill him, Jiro. He'll just take a bite out from you." Before I could even react, Rocco bites my arm off, throwing it on the side. I didn't feel anything, but I can't move my right arm since it was bitten off.

So all we did is watch until my arm regenerates back to the normal. But I was getting exhausted and I can't faint while inside this titan. I went out of my titan form and jumped down to the ground. Rocco did the same and Hanes just thanked him.

"How was it? Did you feel anything?" She asked. I shaked my head causing her to frown. After that little experiment, I went back to the main base where all of our remaining nine troops are.

"How's the experiment with Hanes?" Captain Lev asked. I gave him an awkward smile before he returns it with a disgusted face.

"You look ugly. Get away from me."

"Hey! That was a rude thing to say!" I told him before walking off to Natasha. As usual, she's eating again. I'm trying to find where Yukan is. Also, Amir seems to be missing.

I was about to leave again and take a nap inside one of the houses, when Amir went out from the basement where Axel's crystal is.

"What's wrong, Amir?" Commander Hanes asked as she walks into the scene with her syringe.

Amir breathes heavily before looking at us with hope evident in his eyes. What is it now? Is Axel already out of his crystal?

"Axel, shed a tear inside his crystal. I saw it!" He said with a big smile on his face. Yukan then mysteriously appeared and went beside him.

Amir went back down the basement with Captain Lev, Yukan, and Commander Hanes. Of course, I also went down as well. We stood infront of Axel's crystal form. And indeed, he did shed a tear as it was visible from outside the crystal.

"I want to get him out of there. But I can't" Commander Hanes said, itching to get her hands on Axel's body.

Captain Lev then told us to go and meet them upstairs, leaving him and Commander Hanes alone.
