Chapter 74

Before Light's Out

They've all settled inside an inn Axel and Rocco has found. The locales gave them a discount for a night stay.

Yukan, Jiro, Amir, and Axel are roommates. They have bunk beds for each and everyone of them.

When Amir was about to turn the lamp off, he noticed Jiro staring at the ceiling. So he went to ask him what supposed to be his problem.

"Hey Jiro, you alright?" He asked. His friend sighs before looking at him.

"I'm just afraid to fall asleep, Amir. What if Eren encourages me to do something horrible again?" He said, fear evident in his eyes.

Amir sighs before putting his hand on top of Jiro's forehead. He smiles before giving him a pat.

"I know he won't. Don't think about it too much." Amir said before blowing the lamp off.

Jiro sighed before closing his eyes. This is the first time he'll get to sleep without anything bothering his thoughts.

He closed his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep peacefully and without anything bothering him.

The night seems to be normal for them, but not for the warriors who are sent to Fort Grande.

Damon sighed after patching himself up. He and the other two warriors he is with were badly injured. Well, only him and Pierce. But the possessor of the war hammer titan is completely safe.

"We were almost got killed back there. Their anti-titan weapons are strong." Pierce said before grabbing his clutch.

Damon sighed before looking out of the train they are in. They have successfully raided Fort Grande, and now focusing on raiding Kuvalon's remaining districts.

"Are we going to bring her when we start raiding Kuvalon?" Pierce asked while standing right behind him.

"No, we'll save her for last. She is our only chance. We need to capture the guy who stole the armored titan." Damon said before turning around to look at Pierce.

"Who are you going to give the armored titan once we finally captured him?"

"Who else? I'm gonna give it to Leone's brother, Luis." He said before taking out a pendant.

Pierce nods before going to a couch to take a rest.

"When are we going to raid and bomb Kuvalon?" She asked. Damon looks at her for a second before answering.

"Two days from now, we'll send a fleet of our warriors to kill those devils. That will lure their group and the founder to us." He said before entering a room.

He is determined to capture both the founder and armored titan. If he succeeds on his final year, he can be crowned as the warrior who took the founder back home.

The next morning, the Kuvalon squad went out for a stroll. They are still covering their faces so they won't be known.

Jiro really had a good sleep last night, which made both Yukan and Amir happy.

"I heard that the government is planning an all out attack to Kuvalon tomorrow."

"Yeah, they are going to bomb those devils."

Conrad overhears the conversation of two Iriedian's, which sent thrills to his spine. He rushes towards Natasha to tell her what he heard.

"Tasha, I heard those two guys talking about bombing Kuvalon." He whispered. Natasha looks at him with both eyebrows raised.

"What are you talking about? That's insane." She replied while looking at Conrad.

The lad nods his head before the both of them bumped into a guy. The both of them apologizes before Hanes went over to grab the both of them.

"You two are going to be in serious trouble! What are you two doing and why are you two whispering to one another?" Hanes asked them. The both of them went over to whisper in her ears.

"Their government is planning to bomb Kuvalon tomorrow." They said at the same time.

Hanes stood their in shock, paralyze over what she heard. She then gulps before looking at the two.

"We need to go tell everyone." She said before running towards Lev.

Their captain looks at them, confused before Hanes stopped him from walking, letting Conrad and Natasha ahead.

"Lev, I heard something." She started. The shorter guy clicked his tongue before asking her.

"They are going to bomb Kuvalon tomorrow. We need to go back, right now." She said. Lev didn't believe her and told her it was just a rumor.

He then proceeds walking with Hanes constantly talking about the possibility of their homeland being destroyed.
