Kuvalon
The walls, I always wonder what is lying behind this walls. Why it was built was totally understandable. To keep humanity away from the titans. But this walls won't last long. The same faith might happen again and again. But today is a little different. That was the past. More than 2,000 years ago when Wall Maria was destroyed by a titan taller than this walls, leading to deaths of hundreds of people. That was all a legend now. The people this days have put it all in the past already and forgot it. But there's one specific name they won't even forget. Eren Jaeger. The titan shifter who cost all lives by awakening the sleeping giants residing within the walls. Some people calls him a hero, why some people not. I was one of those people who believe Eren is not a hero, but a heartless monster. Funny how the people of Kuvalon calls me "The Spawn of Eren." Why? I grew up with a face very similar to the young Eren. I've always hated being called by that name. I feel, embarassed. But it doesn't matter. He's already dead. Or is he? There's still no news of him for the last two millenia. Some people believes he's still alive, across the sea.
"Jiro, you've been staring at that wall for the past two hours now. Aren't you getting tired?" My train of thoughts was cut off when one of my friends, Amir decided to pull me out of it. I looked at him before standing up. We've been friends since we were young. He's quite the most intruguing kids out here when I first heard of him. Armin Arlert being his descendant, it is quite controversial for everyone living within this walls.
"Amir, I was just wondering wha-" "What the outside of the wall looks like?" He cuts me off again. I stayed silent for a moment before nodding. Giving me a small smile and a pat on my shoulder, he started telling me what he always tell me everytime I comes up with the same question. "Seas, birds, trees, you name them. But I'm really curious as well." He pouts before sitting on the side of the central fountain. "Mom told me that titans still roam around the world up until now. Finding people they can eat. They are immortals, you know?" I nodded before looking up the sky. I wish I had a mom. My mom died while giving birth to me. Everytime I remember what my father told me, I started beating my self up, thinking that it's all my fault.
"Amir," I called. He turns his attention to me with a bright smile. "What does it feels like to have a mother?" His smile soon drops before putting his arm around my shoulder. "I already told you, Jiro. You can always call my mom, mom. She doesn't even mind." He chirps out. I sighed, knowing that this conversation will never go anywhere. Soon, we stood up and went to the town plaza to celebrate the creation of the wall.
