Beyond the Walls

The squad decides to take Axel in as a new member despite his past killings. They all made out safe of Valka, traveling to wherever district is left untouched by any titans or humans for Iriedon.

Jiro has been thinking of leaving the continent of Paradis and flee to Marley, where they can all be spies. But Lev told him it'll be a risk.

They eventually made their way to the center district where the remaining people of Kuvalon is living. The people elected a new ruler to guide them.

The people still welcome them and still look at them as heroes who previously saved their lives.

"Amir, can you bring this to the general's office?" Hanes said as she handed the boy a handwritted letter.

Amir nods before going to the newly built central building. Yukan and the others are busy preparing and helping the people on their daily lives.

"Do you think we will live a normal life from now on?" Jiro asked Yukan as he looks at the horizon. Yukan looks at him with a confused expression.

"We're not sure about that, Jiro. After what all we have been through. It's still far from normal." He said as he looks at his friend.

John breaks the growing tension between them, telling Jiro that he will be having a hearing with the new commander general about his titan abilities.

"I guess I'll talk to you later at the hearing." He said before giving him a small but faint smile.

Yukan noticed the change in Jiro's expressions ever since he revealed and knew that he was Eren Yeager's descendant. Yukan shrugged the thought off before continuing his work.

At the hearing, Jiro was approached by Diana, the girl that Rocco brought with him. She told Jiro that everything will be fine.

"Jiro, just so you know. The hearing will do great." She said before holding Jiro's hand. He smiled at her before gently squeezing her hand.

Suddenly, the same spark he felt the first time he touched Axel's crystal shocked him. As he closes his eyes, he saw someone's memory through her.

"You're still the 'World's dumbest girl' I have ever met."

"W-What are you talking about?"

"I'm not gonna pass the founder. I'll die with it. It's either I move forward, or they'll have to stop me."

He quickly lets go of Diana's hand, looking at her with a shocked expression. The girl looks at him with concern as she tries to touch him. But Jiro refuses and left her confused.

Everyone gathered inside the court, waiting for the new commander general's thoughts about keeping the shifters inside the walls.

"I gathered you all here, to know your opinions in keeping the founding titan and the other shifters inside the walls." The general started.

He as he starts talking, Jiro keeps feeling a little light headed, closing his eyes for a minute before opening them into a somewhat unfamaliar place.

He looks up the sky and it's as red as blood. On the horizon, thousands of colossal titans marching and being led by one enormous titan.

He steps back before hitting someone's chest. He turns around to see Eren, looking up at the gigantic titan.

"What am I doing here? Where am I?" He asked. Eren looks down to him before placing his hand on top of his head.

"You will need to keep moving forward, Jiro. Destroy the enemies for this chaos to stop." He said. Jiro shoves his hand away.

"What are you talking about? Where am I? What is this?!" He asked in an angry tone. Eren looks down, staring at his hands as tears started to fall.

"My own ambitions made me do this. And soon, you will as well. This is the rumbling, Jiro. I made this, and soon you will as well." Jiro's breath hitched for a moment before being distracted as the colossal titans' marches forward.

"How can I stop this?! No, I won't do this!" He screamed.

"Jiro, you will. You will end everything for the sake of your freedom. Amir and Yukan? They're like Mikasa and Armin. Being talked out of this rumbling won't work. Everything will eventually die."

"No!" Everyone looks at him with confusion. Yukan and Amir are both worried about their friend's behaviour.

"Oi, stupid. What do you think you're doing?" Lev whispered from behind. Jiro looks at everyone before sitting back, mumbling an apology as the general continue his speech.

But one thing got stucked in his mind. Everything will die eventually. And he will be the reason behind it.
