Chapter 76

Prisoner

The scouts eventually made their way back to the island they used to live in. They decided to go back without Jiro and the other two Iriedians.

"You think it will go exactly as planned?" Conrad asked as he leans on the metal railings.

Amir nods as he looks off the distance. He is really determined that the plan he thought of would work.

"I know it will. I trust them." He said before going back inside the ship's cabin.

Way back at Iriedon's central district, Damon and the other shifters are discussing about how they can get the founding titan back.

"We failed to capture the founder. Now what?" Victoria said as he pour them each a tea.

Pierce let's out a tired sigh as she lay still on the couch.

"We almost caught him. But with those two near him, it'll be tough." Damon said before sitting.

"At least we got the armor back. It'll be even." Pierce said before sitting up.

Damon looks outside the window before realising something. They are missing one more person.

"Hey, have any of you seen-" He was cut off when a tall guy with slicked back blonde hair went inside their room.

Damon sighed before offering him a seat. The man took the seat and a cup of tea.

"So, what are you guys talking about?" He asked.

"I'm glad you made it, Luis." Damon said while smiling at the younger man.

"Yeah, it was a long nap." Luis said while taking a sip.

"Oh, have you seen some of Leone's memories?" Pierce asked. The young man shakes his head before putting his cup down.

"No, but I do have seen some of my predecescor's memories. He was just an average guy and I don't know how he ate my brother." He explained while putting his arm around his nape.

Damon was about to say something, when the door opened. There stands Axel and Rocco with someone who is tied up and had a sack on his head.

Damon stood up and gave the two a glare.

"How dare you two show up in here? After betraying your homeland-"

"Before you say anything, war chief. We brought you a present. Thank us later." Axel interrupted before unveiling the tied up man.

Damon's lips curled up into a smile before going near the prisoner.

"Look what we got here. Isn't it the founder." He said while cupping Jiro's face with one hand.

The lad looks at him with cold eyes before diverting his gaze on the princess.

"Where did you got him? Are you sure this isn't a trap?" Pierce asked while looking around the room.

"Pierce, this is our main objective remember? To capture the founder? So we did what you guys told us and captured him. And don't worry, we killed some of the scouts." Rocco said with a smirk before messing up Jiro's hair.

"The colossal escaped with one of his friend." Axel said before sitting right next to Luis.

"Oh, it's you. Are you happy that your dreams became a reality?" Axel asked as he puts a hand on top of the table.

"Don't get me started, Muller. I just came back from the chamber to eat that scum." Luis replied. Axel chuckled before standing up.

"I can't wait to work with you. Rocco, let's go put him in chains." Axel said before putting the sack back on Jiro's head.

The two left before closing the door. Damon sighed in relief. The founder finally back to them.

"Are you really going to trust the two of them?" Victoria asked. Damon went back to his seat before nodding.

"Yes. I did told the four of them to blend in and act like allies. Let's just hope they don't turn their backs on us." He said before smiling at the girl.

"Well, I need to go now. I have a lot of catching up to do with Axel. Maybe even train with him." Luis said before leaving the room.

"You did picked the right inheritors, chief." Pierce said before getting her clutch, exiting the room with Victoria.

Damon smiled before taking his journal out. They can now breathe properly, now that the founder is captured. All he needs to do is to find the next inheritor.
