Back to Iriedon

The sun was already up high when they arrived at the port. Axel felt something nostalgic as soon as he saw the docks. A tear escaped his eyes and Amir seems to notice it.

"Hey, are you alright?" He asked. Axel nods before stopping along with the others.

They went on foot down the hill and on to the wooden docks. Axel looks at Rocco, who seems to feel the same thing he felt.

"We're going back home, Axel. It's sad that Gustav and Leone wouldn't be able to see their family." Rocco said. Axel released a sigh before nodding.

"I feel bad about them. But hey, atleast we made it." He said with a smile before patting his fellow warrior's back.

They helped the scouts load in some of their stuff into the ship. Jiro's watching everyone move, contemplating whether he should continue his plans. He shakes his head before deciding to help them load the crates.

"Lev, what if this turns bad?" Hanes asked as she stands beside their captain. The shorter guy shakes his head, eyeing Jiro.

"Then I have no choice but to kill that rascal. But for now, let's hope that nothing bad happens. Let's go, the ship is leaving!" He replies before calling everyone to board the ship.

When they are all inside the ship, Axel handed the map to the ship captain and their journey back to Iriedon continues. Axel went out to the ship's open area to breathe some fresh air. Amir followed him to ask him about stuff.

"Hey." Amir said before staying beside him. Axel just gave him a smile before looking off the distance.

The two went quiet for a moment before Amir decides to break the silence by asking Axel the question he's been meaning to ask.

"Axel, what did you felt when you found out that Leone is dead and.... I ate Gustav?" He asked. Axel's lovely eyes becomes a dead stare. Amir panics from the inside, thinking that he asked him an insensitive question.

"You know that I can turn things around and kill all of you here in your sleep, right?" He said. Amir gulps upon hearing what his lover had to say.

"But don't worry, I already accepted that they are both....dead. And not long after, me and Rocco will be too." Axel said before looking at Amir with a faint smile.

Amir shakes his head before holding his hand. Axel confusedly looks at him, asking himself so many questions.

"I won't let that happen. I'll protect you. I'll protect you and Rocco." Amir promised before kneeling infront of Axel.

"Let me protect you from harm, Axel. I am willing to risk my life just to protect you." He vowed. Axel chuckled before pulling Amir up.

He cups the lad's face before hugging him, burying his face on his chest, inhaling his vanilla scent. Amir didn't hesitate to hug the shorter boy back.

"Kids this days. They all think that loving someone is an easy job." Conrad said as he watches the two hug each other.

"Coming from you, Conrad. You're just jealous you don't have someone to hug yet." John teased. The bald boy looks at him before grabbing his collar.

"You don't have to attack me like that you donkey!" Conrad retorted back. The insult made John pissed that he also grabs Conrad's collar and they started shaking each other.

"When will you two stop? Geez, you fight like kids." Rocco commented. Conrad and John looks at him before pulling him in to mess up with his neatly styled hair.

"Diana, where did you met Rocco?" Natasha asked the blonde girl. Diana looks at her before blushing.

"I met him one night while scowling for some crops that my dad planted. It was snowy and I didn't even brought my jacket back then." She explained. Natasha seems to know where the story is leading so she stopped her and took Diana with her inside to feast.

Meanwhile, inside the captain's cabin. Lev is reading a book about Iriedon and Kuvalon's past. He seems to be very interested in this journey as well.

"At some point in time, the Marleyans seems to find a habitable island to live in, and so does us Eldians. And you know the history about the two." Hanes said while writing some stuff.

"How do this Iriedians live their life?" Lev asked. Hanes stops writing for a moment before looking at him.

"They live just like us, duh? But their society is a neat and organized one. The only downside is they only have one wall to protect their city." She said before showing Lev a map.

The captain nods before standing up. He then grabs his book and pen before leaving Hanes without a word.

"Captain." He stops on his track upon hearing Jiro's voice. He hums in response before turning around to face the boy.

"What are your plans after this ends?" He asked. Lev was confused at the question.

"I don't know. Probably die." He replied. "Why did you asked?"

Jiro shakes his head before walking pass him. He then stops momentarily, sending Lev some very disturbing words.

"If you ask me the same question, I would probably just restart and consume everyone." He said before entering a room.

Lev shrugs the antics Jiro said, ignoring the fact that he feels something bad will happen, eventually.
