Chapter 70

Port Guards

They all arrived when the sun was down, a perfect time for arrival since they don't want any Iriedians to see them docking.

John went out for the look out, telling everyone that the docks were cleared. Lev ordered everyone to stay alert and never let their guards down.

When the ship anchored right beside the wooden docks, they started unpacking and unloading the ship from their heavy equipments such as thunder spears and some maneuvering gear.

"Axel, how many days will it take us if we traveled by horses or titans?" Hanes asked. The blonde man looks at the distance before answering her.

"If we travel with horses, a good day. It will be the same if we also travel using our titans." He said. The section commander nods before going to Lev.

They helped each other unload the spearson the crates they have before Amir spotted something in the water approaching them. He then comes to a realisation that it was a ship.

"Captain! Ships are coming!" He said, warning everyone.

Jiro then went to the docks' edge before transforming into a titan. Amir hesitated at first, but Bruce beats him to it.

The two titan shifters quickly desimates the arriving ships. Lev told them that it will be better if they leave tomorrow morning.

"Amir, are you okay?" Yukan asked. The shorter male looks at him before nodding.

"I'm still not used to transforming and using my powers for destruction." He said while hugging his knees.

"Amir, you will get used to it. I know it's hard, but we will need it in the future." His friend said before giving him a pat on his back.

Axel went to Lev, telling him the exact position of the first defense Iriedon has.

"Iriedon's field is full of landmines and soldiers. We can't get through it so we need another way to get inside the walls." The blonde warrior said. Lev nods before assembling them inside a building at the docks.

He discussed to everyone what they need to do, and with the help of two citizen of Iriedon, mostly Rocco's help, they figured out a way to bypass Iriedon's defense.

All of them finally settled for the night with their guards up. They managed tl take a rest after the long and exhausting travel they had. Considering the two titans who are also exhausted from fighting.

The sky darkens as the stars slowly twinkles at the night sky. They are safe, for now.
