Train of Hope

"Hurray to the new warrior unit!" Covain said as he raised a glass of beer.

Axel looks at Pierce who is smiling genuinely at them. He sighs before sitting beside Rocco, who is also busy drinking.

"I never thought Pierce will give them all that beer." Axel mumbles. Rocco chuckles as he looks at the celebrating warriors.

"Hey, let them be. They are the new warrior unit." Rocco defended. The blonde head seems to understand his point and agrees with him.

Damon then went inside the room they are in, laughing at how loud the warriors are before sitting next to Luis.

"How many warrior candidate have you picked?" Luis asked he takes a sip from his cup.

Damon groans before checking the papers the commander handed to him. He is currently checking the candidates' profile.

"Four candidates. We excluded you since you've only received that power earlier this month. And the government wants to see you use it against the enemies." Damon explained. Luis nods before looking outside the window.

"When will be the annual passing of the powers?" He asked. Damon sighs before stomping each papers with an approval.

"Once the government agrees to what we want. And besides, Victoria will the one inheriting both the attack and founding titan from Jiro." After hearing that, Luis lets out a chuckle before proceeding to the bunk beds on a separate room.

The next day, they have all arrived at Iriedon. The four young candidates went out first with Rocco and Pierce before being followed by Axel and Luis.

"How was the mission back on Kuvalon." Luis asked as he unloads his and Axel's stuff.

"It was tiring. I need to encased myself inside a crystal because they want to squeeze the information out of me." Axel said as he takes his luggage from Luis.

"Hey, we need to introduce ourselves to the warrior candidates. Hurry up." Damon said, cutting their conversation short.

The two of them followed him towards a room where they will be showcasing their titan abilities.

Upon arriving, the other nations under Iriedon are there to see it for themselves.

Axel looks around the coliseum like structure in awe. Seeing this much people actually triggers his social anxiety.

"Attention, everyone. The current holders of Iriedon's titans are here. Please give them all an applause." A guy said through the microphone that echoes all throughout the coliseum.

The five of them stood in the middle of the structure, flashes of camera blinding them.

Axel move right besides Rocco as he tries to cover his eyes. The guy seems to notice it and handed him his hat.

The guy who announced their presence earlier each called their names one by one, starting from the smaller titans.

Pierce walks to the designated spot, waving her hands to the audience before transforming into the cart titan.

"The cart titan. This titan is able to maintain his form for extended periods of time. The fleets uses this titan, equipping it with artilleries like canons and guns." The guy explained.

"It's like we're in an auction." Axel whispers to Rocco.

The guy was about to say something, when his name was called. Rocco went to were Pierce was, transforming into the jaw titan.

"The jaw titan. It is the swiftest titan we have. A combined strength of bone crushing jaws, durable skull, and sharp claws." After that brief introduction, Axel walks towards Rocco, whispering something to him before proceeding to showcase his titan.

Axel stood under the spotlight, breathing heavily before wounding himself. He transforms into the female titan, looking at everybody inside the event.

"The female titan. A combat titan equipped with its hardening ability. This titan can mimic the power of another titan shifter once it ingest a part of that titan. Its roar can also draw nearby mindless titans." He kneels before going out of his titan. He hurried his way out of the venue to meet up with Rocco.

"We need to tell everyone." He said as he grabs Rocco's hand, running towards the nearest mail office.

Inside the cell where Jiro is currently located, went Veronica after their showcase.

"Are you ready to die tomorrow?" She asked. Jiro looks at him with a cold stare, nodding.

"Yes. Goodluck killing me." Jiro said before smiling at her.

He knows what he's been doing. Amd he knows what will happen next.
