Morning came and when I woke up I could still feel myself in Jossilyn's arms, but I could feel her looking at me. "Good morning, love", I said without opening my eyes.
"Good morning, princess, you look so peaceful when you sleep."
I laughed in response.
"What's so funny?", she asked confused.
"Peaceful, is not how people usually describe me when I sleep, but I do feel way more refreshed this morning than I usually do in the mornings."
"Same, normally I have to drink coffee before I even feel like I'm alive."
"Yeah, I usually drink coffee and a redbull to start my mornings", I laughed snuggling in closer to her, "but I could stay right here with you all day and not even be upset about it."
Jossilyn smiled and kissed me on the forehead.
We laid there in silence for a while longer before my phone rang. I answered it without paying attention to who was calling.
"Hello"
"Good morning, darling, I didn't wake you did I?", my mom asked from the other end.
"No, mom, I'm just laying here in bed relaxing what's up?"
"Oh, nothing much, just drafting up some commercials and billboards. I just wanted to call and check on you since I haven't heard from you since you got there."
"Yeah, sorry about that but I'm fine it's been really great getting to relax and stuff. How is everyone there?"
"Good, your dad is golfing with some of his buddies from the country club, the twins are at the park with some friends from school, and your sisters are up in their rooms doing God knows what", she laughed.
"Well that's good... Oh! Mom,", I exclaimed.
"Yeah sweetie, what's up", my mom said looking up from her work sensing my excitement.
"So I was doing some light designing yesterday and was kind of just playing around, but I think it would be cool if Abby, Sabrina, and I all came out with a collaborative back to school line for the back to school season."
"Honey that sounds like a wonderful idea have you run it by your sisters yet to see if they would be interested? Also what were you doing working yesterday, I thought the whole point of your vacation was to relax and not have to work."
"I know, I know, but I just can't help it sometimes. I love doing it, and I was bored yesterday. It's not like I was stressing myself out yesterday I was just playing around, and no I haven't had the chance to talk to the girls about it because I just thought about it yesterday."
"Also, honey, have you given a thought to how you plan on getting the designs done with your sisters for this line in time for if you are in California and your sisters are here?"
"Well, it shouldn't take more than a few days to come up with some designs and slogan to go with it. Plus I already have some designs in the works that we could tweak and if they want they could just come stay with me for a week and that would give us plenty of time to figure out our designs and they would still have some time to spend on the beach. Especially because when we get to working together there is literally nothing that we can't do. Plus I hate taking pictures and being in them so they could just do that stuff since it's what they like to do and then I could just post the pics and you could help us come up with some captions and a slogan for it."
"Honey, you aren't supposed to be working!"
"I know but what if we involved you and then it could be like a girls project and you could handle the captions, slogan, and marketing!", I squeeled.
"I would love nothing more than to work on a project with my girls. How about I just take this phone call up stairs to your sister's right now and we can all talk about it."
I looked at Jossilyn, who had remained very quiet through all of this so that my mother would not know that she was here, and she just nodded in approval after seeing how happy I was talking to my mom about work. However, I felt bad for her having to listen to me talk about work, "Actually, mom, how about you just ask the girls and then shoot me a text and if they are down then we can talk about it on Monday, but as for right now I am going to hang up and spend some time with...", it took me a moment to decide how I wanted to address Jossilyn to my mother, "... a friend."
"Ok, honey, I'll talk to your sisters and let you know what they want to do, also this friend wouldn't happen to be the girl that you were seen with at the beach a few weeks ago would it?", my mom questioned.
"Yes, mom, actually it is her", I said confidently while looking at Jossilyn.
"Well, you two have fun... Oh, and Anna,"
"Yes, mom"
"She's cute by the way"
I smiled while looking at Jossilyn and said, "I know, and thanks mom."
"Anytime sweetie, call if you need anything."
"Will do mom, love you."
"Love you too sweetie", she said before hanging up.
"So my mom likes you", I laughed getting up from the bed to go get a drink from the kitchen.
"What!? She doesn't even know me how could she possibly like me already?", Jossilyn asked following me into the kitchen.
"Because of that picture that was posted online, and I know my mother so I know that she did some hardcore digging to find out who it was and all about you. Plus she just complemented you to me and she has never done that with anyone else before."
"Well, ain't I just special then", Jossilyn laughed. "But, I mean are we really surprised, I'm a phenomenal human being so why wouldn't your parents love me", she giggled and flipped her hair.
"For sure, super humble too", I teased back.
Jossilyn and I spent the rest of the day out on the beach. After lunch we decided to invite the rest of her friends over and told them that we were dating, but not to tell anyone.
By the time dinner rolled around they had all gone home and it was just Jossilyn and I again. We made spaghetti for dinner and spent the night watching Netflix until we fell asleep.
Sunday went by faster than I wanted it to. Jossilyn and I didn't do much. We pretty much just stayed inside and spent the whole day getting to know each other better, cuddling, and making-out. Jossilyn had talked her parents into letting her stay all of next week too as long as she didn't miss work and promised to come in and help her dad at the shop if anyone called in.
