The next morning I woke up to my alarm at 7:30. Jossilyn was still asleep. I got up and got ready for the day. I took a shower, curled my hair and did my makeup, and then went back to my room to get dressed. I chose to wear a formfitting high-waisted white plaid skirt and a black formfitting turtleneck with white heels.
It was 8:30 when I finished getting ready and Jossilyn still wasn't awake. I wanted to let her sleep so I went downstairs by myself and started eating breakfast. Shortly after I started eating my parents walked in and so did my grandma.
"You're up bright and early darling.", my grandma said taking a seat next to me.
"Yeah, you'd think after a while I'd quit getting nervous for these things", I laughed.
"Remember what I always tell you.", my dad said taking a seat across the table next to my mother.
"You only get nervous for things you care about."
"That's right. I've been in this business longer than you've been alive honey and I still get nervous anytime I'm releasing or presenting anything."
"Where's Jossilyn?", my grandma asked.
"She's still in bed. I didn't want to wake her."
After breakfast I went to the study and started going over my notes and talking points for the launch. I had been going over my notes for a while when I heard my bedroom door open. I looked up to see Jossilyn coming down the hall.
"Good morning, babe", she said walking over to where I was sitting.
"Good morning, love. How'd you sleep?"
"Good. I wish you'd have been there for me to wake up to, but at least you're still here."
"Yeah, sorry about that I just couldn't sleep anymore, but I didn't want to wake you if I didn't need to."
"It's fine. What are you doing?"
"Going over my notes for later. I want to make sure they're perfect."
"Anna, you've spent the last two days doing nothing but preparing for your launch. Everything is going to be perfect. Come on I want breakfast and you're coming with me."
"I already ate."
"I didn't ask you if you had ate, babe. I told you that I am going down for breakfast, and you are coming with me."
"Fine, just 5 more minutes."
"No, come on we are going now. Your notes are perfect. They haven't changed since last night or the night before when you first wrote them."
"Ok fine.", I said setting aside my notes and getting up from the desk.
We got downstairs and I found both Abby and Sabrina sitting at the table.
"Morning sis, morning Joss.", Abby said as we walked in.
"Morning Abby", I said. "Are you guys ready for today?", I asked taking a seat across from them.
"I'm super excited. This is the first time we are all officially putting our name on something together. Like we've worked on projects together in the past but we never all put our names on the final product.", Abby said.
"I'm excited, but I'm also so nervous. I hate presenting.", Sabrina said.
"Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I'm both excited and nervous.", I said.
"You guys are going to do great. I've been here since you guys started and you've all worked so hard and I know it's going to go great!"
"Thanks, Joss, I'm glad my sister met you and has kept you around. Not only do I think you are good for her, but it's nice to have someone who hasn't grown up in this world and has a different perspective."
