After the little showdown with the spies earlier, I tried to fill my brain with ideas to get us out of here. I remembered Matt knocking at the door with a pattern when he took me to Dave. If we want to pass through that door, then we are definitely going to need their help. But the question is, will they help us?

I sighed and stared up at the sky through the window in the hallway towards the cafeteria. The sky was gloomy today, just like the atmosphere at the Base. I closed my eyes to recollect the memory of the beautiful sky that Louis and I admired the other day. My imaginary vision was disturbed with the revving of an engine.

"Ugh! That bloody asshole is going behind bars today if he doesn't let me meet, Alana!", I heard a muffled voice.

That sounds familiar.

I tried to pry through the small window to check who it was. And to my utter surprise, I saw Aiden storming into Stoneridge. My eyebrows rose in shock while my mouth dropped open slightly. I couldn't believe my eyes! Aiden is here!? How? What made him come here? Why is he here? Many questions ran through my head. I wanted to meet him. I wanted to lean on his shoulder. I wanted him to pat on my head and tell me 'You've worked hard'.

I ran to the main room, waiting for someone to call me. My feet couldn't rest on the floor. I kept climbing up and down the stairs that led us to the room above. Everyone kept staring at my antics in confusion. I couldn't care less about the weird looks I received. Aiden was here and I had to meet him. This might be the very opportunity I was searching for! Finally, we might be able to get out of this hell!

Thrilled by the little hope, I stumbled over my feet and fell down.

"Woah, girl! Easy, easy. Calm down. Who set fire on your tail?", Ellis made fun of me as he helped me get up.

"What happened, Alana? You seem excited", Beth asked.

"Aiden's here! He said he wants to meet me! I saw him through those windows! I heard him!"

"Who's Aiden?", Yohan inquired.

That's when I remembered, I never taught them the names of my family members.

"He's my brother", I replied giddily.

"What makes-"

Dave's voice cut in before Ellis could complete his question.

"Alana Anderson!", he bellowed.

A shiver crawled my spine as I heard his voice for the first time in a week. Louis' limp body flashed through my eyes as I saw Dave.

Do not cry at this moment, dumbo!

I won't! I'm not stupid!

Dave frantically wandered his eyes through the Base until his eyes landed on me.

"So there you are, Daddy's little princess!", he mocked in anger. He walked towards me and grabbed my hair.

And he's back at it again with the Bald Alana Project.

This time I didn't let him have his way. I made use of the skills I learnt during my self defense classes. I grabbed his wrist with which he was holding my hair with both of my hands. I stepped closer to him and slid one hand up and gripped on his pinky. I quickly pulled his pinky back towards his wrist, pushing his wrist away from my hair while stepping back at the same time. I made sure to not lose grip on his wrist and kneed his groin. The color from his face drained away as his juniors said goodbye to him. I let go of his wrist and stepped away from him while he grabbed his crotch and fell down, groaning in pain.
