"Ganun lang?!", Emma lost control of her tone as Lea tells them what happened.

"Eh loko pala siya eh! I thought he loves you that much, Madam. Baka mas lalaki pa nga ako don eh. He is a twit! Naku! Naku! You don't deserve him", Jason tells her.

"And he doesn't deserve me as well", she looks blankly at her drink, eyes downcast. She cried her heart out last night until she slumbered. No calls. No texts. Her morning is sullen again like a sky with no sun. Night with no stars. But that is just how things end to her.

That is just it.

"Lea, don't be too harsh on yourself. Hindi siya para sa'yo. You deserve someone else", Emma comforts her.

"Truelalo. You can get through it, Madam", Jason tells her.

She bitterly smiled. Things are back again to its state. Someday she'd see a ray of hope to live her life like she used to with contentment. This is just one of the many battles she outfaced. Same rough path she paced alone. Same old trail she surmounted. Nothing new to it. Maybe it tells her one thing, she should halt herself from expecting for someone else's attention. Perhaps no one outside her lonely world is made for her.

And her weary heart has had enough of this.

"So ano na plano mo, Lei?", Emma asked.

"I can't go on this life near him. I will just string myself along until the sem ended. Besides, I ... filed for resignation almost a month now". Emma and Jason gaped at her statement. Both of them know nothing about it but Lea opted to keep it from them. They won't agree, for sure, but she has already made up her mind. Hanging around for an extensive time won't do good for her and Aga. She'd better drag herself away on her own volition.

"Ano?! Lei, you don't need to leave"

"Atsaka, Madam, san ka naman pupunta? Don't tell me babalik ka sa hometown mo? Eh diba nga you have a lot of bad memories there?", Jason blurts out.

"No, of course. Actually, I don't know yet eh. Bahala na siguro. Basta yung .... malayo dito. Anywhere but not here and even at my hometown. I know he'd wish not to hear anything from me and I .... I completely understand. Gusto ko na lang magpakalayo layo. I just want to disappear in his life", she pursed her trembled lips to hinder emotions from flowing out. The weight in her heart stings. Too heavy that she feels like exploding anytime.

"Lea, think about it over and over again. Reweigh things in. You cannot keep on running each time you fail. Get up and continue living. Do not be so carried away by your emotions. Matapang ka naman, Lei, eh. I know you can beat this up even if you stay here"

She keeps mum but this a clear-cut decision. An adamant choice to end things up between them. It's the easiest way out of this mess but truth be told, she keeps to herself a tiny hope that Aga would accept her. That he just vented his dismay towards her. But she pity herself from that thought. It ended already but here she is ... believing and hoping that he'd knock on her door and ask her to patch the broken lines. Fix things between them and realized that they are possible. That she and him are made to each other. But it only happens in a movie. A fairytale where prince catches the princess when she falls.

That is just purely fantasy.

She stood up to get a refill but her belly acts up again. Emma and Jason paused as she runs to the sink and barfs. This is it again. Her body feels fatigue like as if she spent an entire day working.
