"Is he still into you?", Stephen asked.

Lea invited him for a dinner at their house. Though she could discern the look on Eli's face the whole time but at this juncture, her mind is discombobulated enough to mind it. A lot of doubts and queries flood her mind. Adds the fact that she's jobless upon making up her mind of declining Aga's offer, she's oblivious and anxious for what's to come.

She scoffs, giving him a glass of drink, "Kelan ba ako non minahal? Di ko kase maalala. He was just acting like a jealous man because I refrain Eli from talking to him"

"Well, that's not what I saw. I can feel he has something for you. I'm a man, Lei. Alam ko yung mga kinikilos niya"

She chuckled bitterly, "Don't be deceived. You know what I've been through. He didn't love me. That's a fact"

Stephen went silent for a moment - weighing things if he could give his question a shot - and felt the urge to ask her, "How about you? Do you still love him?"

Lea averts her attention to her wine glass, asking herself the same question. That day she left out of his life, and walked away for a restart, she left it all behind - bitter and sweet memories - leaving only the hope to rear her child by herself. "I don't know. Baka hindi na. Siguro. Ewan. I forgot how it feels like eh. It's been ... twelve long years. Ang tagal tagal na non. I wasn't even thinking for this day to arrive. If I could only control the hands of time, I'd rather not see him anymore than this. But I can't deny the happiness I felt when we were still together. Kahit na ... naging panakip butas lang naman ako. I felt happy and loved kahit sabihin na nating it was all lies. Whenever I call to mind the assumption I had that he might be the one made for me, natatawa na lang ako sa sarili ko. I was ambitious eh. Di ko rin kase alam that he wasn't over yet of his past, but how can I beat his first love?", she gazed up to Stephen, "Maybe first love never really dies"

Stephen half-smiled, "Couldn't agree more. Kaya nga siguro nandito ako eh. I never stopped loving my first love. I never stopped loving you, Lea"

She shakes her head, "No. Stop it. You're getting married, Stephen. You deserve to be with someone worthy of your love and attention. Sinabi ko na sayo noon. Iba na lang. Wag na ako"

But he holds her hand before she could rise to her feet, "Minsan naiisip ko ... bakit ba di na lang ako naging siya? He didn't see your worth. Lea, tanggap kita mula noon hanggang ngayon. Nothing's changed. If you could only give me a chance, I will show you the love you deserve, Lei"

"Then what? You'll leave her just for me? Stephen, nahihibang ka ba? We can't be possible. You deserve someone else. May anak na ako. I have responsibilities in life. And you? Stephen, you deserve that woman. She's lucky to have you. Don't hurt her feelings. Bilang babae, alam ko yung pakiramdam na hindi pinili. Trust me, no one deserves to go through it. It's not easy"

"But why do I feel it right now?", he stares at her face. Lea is caught off guard. He is every woman's fantasy. With his good aesthetics and character, he has all the qualities of a best guy, but she's afraid to fall again. When Eli came to her life, she teems all the love from her heart.
