Birds chirping at the crack of dawn, and she rubs her eyes upon waking up. Eli is still sleeping with head on her chest, and arm around her waist. She has a number of sleeping positions, and Lea could all but squeezed herself in a smidgen of space whenever Eli slumbered next to her. Upon calling to mind of Aga's one night stay, she gingerly perceived for his presence. But there's only ticking of the clock that she could hear. She moves inch by inch, but there's no one behind her. Lea averts attention to his spot, and heaved a sigh of relief that he is no longer around. With her assumption of his departure, she carefully moves Eli to the side, pulling the blanket to muffle the sleeping boss. She gets up - fixing herself to the bathroom - and took time to assess the situation. She lets him get closer to Eli, and that entails possible trouble. But she doesn't want to bother herself of it for now. Eli is happy, and that's what matters to her.
She grabs her towel to take a quick shower. Upon sliding open the door, her heart almost jump out her chest upon seeing him completely naked. Her gaze fell down his huge thing. She exclaims, turning her back at him, "Shit! Aga, ano ka ba?! You're using the bathroom with door unlocked! Pano kung si Eli nakabukas ng pinto?!"
He smirked, staring at her as he covers his half body, "It's just 5:30 a.m, Lei. Siguro naman Eli won't take a shower at this early hour? Besides, may sliding door naman eh. Had I known you want to take shower with me, sana hinintay kita"
"Ang kapal mo!", she left out the bathroom, but Aga kicks off the delight in jesting at her.
He blocks the door, "Kung makatili ah. What part of me you haven't seen yet?"
She scoffs in frustrations, "Are you for real?! Let me just remind you of your wife who's probably waiting you the whole night. Atsaka, akala ko ba umuwi ka na?!"
"Aha! So, hinahanap mo ko?", he crossed arms, smiling playfully.
"Hoy, Aga! Tigil-tigilan mo ko. That won't work on me"
He scoffs, "So, what would work on you then?"
She hissed in annoyance, "Can you please just move?"
"Alright", he moves closer to her, and Lea stepped backward. "Like this? Gano ba kalapit pa, babes?"
"Aga, hindi ako nakikipagbiruan sayo!", she settled her palm against his bare chest to stop him. Lea gulped upon feeling his cold and broad chest.
"So do I", he held her hand, pulling gently her body against his half-naked self. Words lost along the way as silence settled in the four-corner room, but his eyes tell those things what her heart longs to know. Her rhythmic pulsation that thumps in her chest like a drum - beating for him ... only for him. His gaze never left her sight as though he is terrified to lose her again. And his grip that seems to let her be wised up that he would hold her for the rest of his life, never will take a chance to let her go again. But she is ill at ease for this feeling she opted to shun in so many years. It was far beyond her expectation that she has moved on. That he is just part of her previous chapter she would never want to revisit. But now he is back, and pain revived rather than sweet memories. She knew giving in would lead to the same path she once trailed, and he might just disappear in her life again. And history would only repeat itself - broken pieces of her heart with no one else to run to. It's always like that. It never changed, and she is sure that it never will.
