A month slips by, and Lea is left with no choice but to follow her doctor’s strict orders—a decision Aga supports with unwavering intensity. She stays at home with Eli, and as the days pass, her man becomes increasingly protective. It isn’t in her nature to stay in bed all day, doing nothing but binge-watching movies while her weight steadily climbs. She begs Aga, clinging to a sliver of hope that he might let her work until her second trimester, but he proves impossible to sway.
"Babes, sige na. I don't want to just sit here for months doing nothing. Ang dami nating gastusin, especially when the baby arrives. Next month is Eli’s early enrollment, too. We have to save up," she explains, but her plea falls on deaf ears.
"We talked about this already, babes. Don’t worry about the expenses. It’s on me," he insists, his tone final.
"Nakakabagot dito eh. Wala akong magawa," she rants, her frustration bubbling over. Aga, however, remains completely unconvinced.
"Babes, pagod ako. Please. I thought we concurred on this already. Besides, you have a checkup tomorrow," he says, slumping onto the bed beside her.
It has been a long, draining day at work, and Lea hasn't let him hear the end of it since her maternity leave took effect last week. She has been incredibly clingy lately, and her mood swings are becoming a challenge to navigate. Their petty fights usually spark whenever his patience wears thin. Lea flares up with jealousy at the mention of his female workmates, and his late nights at the office only add fuel to the fire.
Despite the tension, Aga has no real complaints. He loves every exhausting second of this life with them. At the end of the day, they are all he needs to keep going.

Lea waits for her appointment, her hand resting instinctively on her growing baby bump. She can’t wipe the radiant smile from her face as she and Aga play the gender guessing game. It’s still early, but the two can’t resist. Eli is firm about wanting a baby sister, while Aga secretly hopes for a boy this time. Regardless of the result, seeing the pure excitement on their faces makes his heart swell. After years of heartache and emptiness, this feels like a dream finally coming true. He catches her eye and winks, causing a familiar heat to rush to Lea’s cheeks.
They have been living together for almost a year now, and the anticipation for the court’s decision on the annulment hangs in the air. Knowing Luisa is fully cooperating is a massive weight off their shoulders. While building a life together from scratch has its challenges, they face every trial as a team.
"Next," the nurse calls out, and Eli is the first one on her feet.
They enter the room, Lea’s heart racing with anticipation. She hangs on the doctor's every word while Aga stands close, listening intently. As the doctor begins to track the baby’s heartbeat, a wide smile spreads across her face. She turns to the three of them, her eyes twinkling.
"I can hear two heartbeats," the doctor says calmly.
Aga and Lea gape in total disbelief. "D-doc? Two?" Lea stammers.
The doctor nods. "Sino ba sa inyo ang may lahing kambal?"
"Yung alam ko ho, doc, sa father's side ko... may kambal ho sa kanila," Lea responds, her voice trembling with a mix of shock and joy.
"So, we're having two, doc?" Aga asks, his voice rising in pitch as the doctor confirms the news with a firm nod.
Eli lets out a happy squeal, jumping up and down. While the news is celebratory, Aga immediately switches into protective mode. The doctor’s advice is clear: the pregnancy is sensitive. He refuses to take any risks, especially when it comes to Lea handling the household chores.
