CHAPTER TWO // OFFICER FRIENDLY

Jade took the radio out of Glenn's hands before bringing it closer to her. "Hey, dude, you alive in there?" She questioned as she glanced down at the tank before looking back to Glenn.
"Hello? Hello?" The man asked frantically.
"There you are." Jade replied with a smile despite the fact the man couldn't see it. "You had us wondering."
"Where are you? Outside? Can you see me right now?"
Glenn placed his hand on the girls, pressing her finger down onto the button so he could answer, which caused butterflies to arise in both of their stomachs. "Yeah, we can see you. You're surrounded by walkers. That's the bad news."
"Glenn! Now he's gonna think there's good news." She exclaimed pushing on his shoulder before peeling his hand off the walkie-talkie. "You're talking privileges have been revoked."
"There's good news?"
"No, I'm sorry. Please ignore my friend." She spoke, trying to be kind and calm the man down.
"Listen, whoever you guys are, I don't mind telling you I'm a little concerned in here."
"He should see it from over here." Glenn remarked, earning a slap on the shoulder. "What? He'd be freaking out."
"Got any advice for me?"
"Um... I'd say make a run for it. I know, it sounds stupid, but the geeks are feeding on the horse that went down, most of 'em are distracted." She explained, lightly biting down on her bottom lip as she awaited the man's reply.
"That's it? 'Make a run for it?' Seriously?"
Glenn quickly grabbed the radio out of the girl's hands, turning away from her. "Look, what she explained is seriously the best way to get out of this alive. There's one geek still up on the tank but the others have climbed down to feed on the horse like she said. You still with us so far?"
"So far."
"Okay, the other side of the street of the tank is less crowded. If you move now while their distracted, you stand the best chance. Got any ammo?" Glenn continued before turning back towards the girl, who had been trying to get the radio, allowing Jade to take the radio back.
"In that duffel bag I dropped out there, and guns. Can I get to it?"
"Hell no. Forget the bag, alright? It's not an option whatsoever. What do you have on you?" Jade asked, having noticed the dropped duffel right beside the frenzy of geeks.
"Hang on."
Jade sighed as she released the button on the radio, looking up to Glenn who looked almost as worried about the man as she was. "Think he's gonna make it?"
"No idea. Depends on how fast he is. Let's get down there. See if we can save his ass if he needs it." She spoke, Glenn nodding at he words, being the first one to go down the ladder.
"I've got a berretta with one clip, 15 rounds."
"Better make 'em count. Jump off the right side of the tank, keep going in that direction. There's an alley up the street, maybe 50 yards. Be there or be square." Jade instructed as she climbed down the ladder following Glenn as the moved from beside the building they were in towards the the alleyway.
