CHAPTER FORTY-ONE // ALTERCATIONS
"GOODNIGHT, LITTLE LADY."ִֶָ 𓂃⊹ ִֶָ
Running. The three ran through the woods, followed closely by two men, the one shooting being the one, and only, Merle Dixon. They had previously attacked the group, successfully killing two of the men. The group of four had found them early that morning in a small hideout, probably around the time of 2 am.
Since then, they had been followed by them, being hunted. They ran fast, Theodora pushed ahead of both the adults, the two women using their bodies as personal shields for her. The group were only a mere 20 feet away from the two men as another gun shot fired, hitting the tree right beside Liz.
The bark flew towards her face, causing the brunette to stumble, her foot caught on a rather large tree limb that had fallen. Properly spraining her left ankle in the process. She grunted in pain as she fell to the ground, hitting her head on a rock, causing her nose to begin bleeding.
"Aunt Liz!" Theodora shouted, beginning to run back for her when Michonne grabbed the young girl by the arm, the both of them watching as Liz glanced back.
"Go! Michonne, you take care of her! Take care of her!" Liz shouted as Michonne grabbed ahold of Theodora, picking up the squirming girl as she continued to run.
Liz wiped her face, noting the large amount of pool left on her fingers. She was quickly grabbed by the arm, painfully yanked onto her feet, causing a loud wince to sound from her.
"Well, well.. look who was left behind." Merle said with fake pity and a laugh. "Take her in, kid. Go in the back way, lock her up. As requested by the boss man.." Her ordered as he grabbed her weapons and tied her hands together with a zip-tie he had in his pocket.
She was tossed forward, quickly grabbed onto by the younger boy. "Yes, sir. What will you be doing?" The kid replied.
"I'm going after the big catch."

Elizabeth was sat in a wooden chair, her wrists and ankles bound to the chair. Her left ankle was swollen and covered in a red and purple bruise. The girl's eyes were trained on the door a few feet in front of her, as well large round table directly in front of her.
She had been dragged by the kid, Liz now knowing that his name was Gargulio after she had repeatedly called him 'kid'. Once they arrived, she passed to two other larger men who dragged her through the facility. Her fingers were tapping on the arm of the chair, waiting for someone to walk into the room.
Audible grunts and incoherent sounds were heard from the room that seemed to be beside the room she was in. She resituated in her seat hearing footsteps from outside the door before her. It soon opened, revealing Merle and Governor.
"Hello there, Elizabeth." The Governor greeted with a sly smile as he pulled a chair from the corner to sit across the table from her. "How is your ankle doing?"
"Fuck you." Elizabeth spat, making direct eye contact with the man.
"Woah, that's some crude language there." Merle laughed as he leaned against the wall beside the closed door.
"Merle, could you leave us for a minute? I need to speak with her." The Governor spoke, glancing back to Merle who nodded and quickly left the room.
"What do you want?" She questioned slowly.
He laughed slowly standing from his chair as he rubbed his hands together. "You know, you really hurt Andrea by leaving like that. And I don't really like that. To her, you and your friends are dead. Eaten by walkers. But hey, that's exactly what happened to your two pals who left ya'." He spoke slowly as he moved closer to her, stopping to lean against the table right in front of her.
"What?" Liz mumbled.
"Walked right into the red zone. Attacked within seconds. Merle witnessed it all. Pretty gruesome if I can recall what he said." He teased.
"You sick son of a bitch."
The Governor laughed as he shook his head, his face soon turned to anger as he raised his leg, kicking the girl in the chest, sending her flying back in her chair. Most of the chair broke apart as she met the ground. She coughed as he tried to regain air in her lungs, he lunged forward, grabbing her by the shoulders as he pushed her against the wall behind her.
"Yeah, I am. But you're good friend Andrea, is in love with this 'sick son of a bitch'." He spoke angrily through his teeth before standing and sending a kick to her abdomen. "No one disrespects me." KICK. " No one kills my men." KICK. "No one leaves." KICK.
He sighed as he stepped back, watching as she clutched her stomach, struggling to breath. The man laughed as he rested his hands on his hips, glancing around the room.
"Imma have a surprise for you soon. Maybe stop the attitude and you'll still get it." He spoke as he crouched down, grabbing her by the chin to make her look him in the eyes. "Such a pretty little face, wasted with a horrible personality." The Governor finished as he grabbed his gun from his holster, turning it in his hands before slamming the butt of the handle into the side of her face. Liz slumped down in his hands, behind held up by his grip before he dropped her to the ground.
"Goodnight, little lady."
