Your father was an aspiring explorer of sea life. He used to film documentaries of the fishes and rake in tons of money. Then the Abyssal Fleet came in and ruined that. Now he had to have a confirmation that the ocean he's in is Abyss-free, otherwise he'd require what are called Fleet Girls to help protect him on his route.

At the time, the Fleet Girls were in that early phase of the distribution. They took days to create, were expensive to buy and maintain, and the ethics of buying a girl, regardless of their claims to be warships, was hotly debated. Your father lost a lot of money when the Abyss attacked him, and he scrounged just enough to buy one.

You never were into the history of warships, so you had no idea what a Destroyer was, let alone a "Mutsuki-class". When your father brought her home, you had no idea what was going on and presumed that she was just a stranger that your father picked up on the side of the road, or even a new girlfriend for him. That's how out of the loop you were with the Fleet Girls. She introduced herself to you.

"My name is Kisaragi. Please keep me by your side."

Throughout the month, Kisaragi had lived at your house. She didn't eat food, she didn't drink water. She did sleep, however. Mid-day. You never saw much of her because of that. You were always in school and when you came home, she was sleeping. By the time you'd go to bed, she'd wake up and head off with your dad for escort.

The only times you would actually hang out with her was on the weekends. You spend those huddled together as you and her watch TV. She often asked you to look at her, even when you are extremely close to her. You always felt shy around her whenever that happened, but you always convince yourself that you just had to get used to her being in the house. Though, today was different.

It was the first day of summer vacation and your father finally had enough money to start spending. He started by getting you that Wii U you always wanted. You wanted to share your experience with Kisaragi. And so you and her played some Smash Brothers. Despite it being her first time playing video games, she managed to wipe the floor with you. An hour passed before Kisaragi yawned.

"I'm feeling a little tired, so I'll have a rest in bed. Would you like to join me?" She asked you. Your father was out at this time, as he was busy trying to procure more fleet members.

"I... um... Not really that tired..." You speak up, but she held your hand.

"But I want to be with you for as long as I can... let's have you resting with me." She gazed into your [e/c] eyes. That's when your heart went "PAPUMP!" and you began to feel woozy. You feel your face heating up as Kisaragi smiled and gave a giggle.

She escorted you to the guest room where she sleeps and lays you on the bed. She enters the bed as well and covers you and her up. She inched closer to you and held you.

"I'm sorry we don't spend much time together." She said.

"T-that's okay." You said to her. You could feel her head nuzzle onto your chest.

"No! It's not! When your father purchased me, he told me so much about you." She stroked your back. "Especially how you don't have a lot of friends to hang out with." She said. Well, she had a point. Your father had to move you to a new area after his first brush with the Abyssal Fleet left him in a pile of debt. You frowned, though Kisaragi then looked at you.

"Perhaps... I could be your friend?" She asked. You blushed. You always felt weird around her, though you didn't know why. "Or... Maybe something more?" Until now.

You hugged Kisaragi and nodded.

"Yeah... That'll... That'll be great. Thank you." You said. She smiled and cuddled with you two passed out and slept.

Yes, Kisaragi would probably be your closest friend... and maybe more.
