Jiles' POV

"Y'all got a lil more game than I thought," I laughed, dapping up Isaac and Zamir. I was cappin, I knew they were cold and the scrimmage we had just verified what I already knew.

"Man, I wasn't expecting all that from you," Isaac laughed. It was my first practice with them and so far things were going good. Everyone seemed to be ok with me joining but I know they were sad to see some of their teammates go. It was all part of the game, you didn't get to be comfortable starting out. You had to just take what they gave you.

I hit the showers then looked around the locker room some. I found an empty locker and decided to claim it since there was no name attached. I set some of my essentials that I always kept in my locker inside and found some tape to write my name. That was it. I was officially a Celtic. Well, I'd been a Celtic but something about claiming your locker made it feel even more real.

"We're finna go get some food, you coming?" Zamir asked, nudging my shoulder. I wanted to decline their offer and go home to sleep but I knew it wouldn't hurt to hang with them outside of the gym.

"Sure," I shrugged and grabbed my wallet and keys.

I followed them to some bar they always went to downtown. It was small but inviting on the inside. We took a seat at the bar stools and the server came over doing the usual, "Oh my gosh! You're NBA players," It didn't matter if it was a guy or girl people always fangirled out on us. We agreed to some autographs and a few photos but asked that he let us enjoy our meal after.

"So, y'all don't go to the club? You just chill at bars?" I questioned.

"In Boston there's a bar on every block. Yeah, there's clubs too but if you want food food like good food, you know where to go," Isaac spoke. I nodded understanding the food part. My mind was on the bitches part though. There was pretty much none in here.

"Do females come to bars, or?" I asked, looking around. I wanted them to see what I saw and take the hint to go somewhere else.

"Depends on the night. They'll probably trickle in at some point," Zamir said, sipping on his drink. The niggas were weird but maybe I was just jumping to conclusions. "There go one right there," he said pointing to a girl and guy walking in together. They sat down on the other end of the bar and I was eyeing the girl but she wasn't really my type. I could tell Isaac was feeling her though.

"You finna keep staring or are you gonna go say something?" I asked, laughing at him. He waved me off and laughed, too.

"Nigga, I know the game don't rush me," he said confidently. I threw my hands up in surrender but I wasn't too sure. Hopefully by the end of the night he'd stop being so corny and go say something to her.
