Jiles' POV

I scrolled through instagram on my new phone, waiting for Raegan to finish getting ready. She was taking forever as usual and I wanted to tell her ass I was leaving her but I was taking her on a date. I had been planning this for a minute and I wanted every little detail to go as planned.

"Baabyyy," I called out, ready to go. She ignored me and kept moving around in her bedroom. I was about to say fuck it and take a nap when her bedroom door finally opened and she came walking out. I looked up barely but had to do a double take when I noticed how fine she looked.

"What do you think?" she smiled, doing a spin. I jumped up and held my arms around her waist, still looking. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. "I did good?" she laughed.

"Baby, you did better than good. Fuck," I said, lost for words. "We not going no where anymore I wanna stay here," I laughed, pulling her into me. I kissed her deeply and was ready to keep going until she pushed me back.

"Let's go," she grinned. She knew she was getting to me and she loved it. We got in my Benz and drove a few minutes away to a restaurant I heard was really good. I had rented out the whole place, brought in a violinist, and decorated the restaurant full of memories we shared.

I helped her get out of the car and walk up to the restaurant, ready for her to see how everything turned out. When we walked in a miniature sculpture of the tiger statue we met at on campus was sitting there.

"Aww, Truman," she grinned, picking it up. "This is cute, Poodah," she grinned. As much as I hated that nickname I missed hearing her call me it. "Where is everyone?" she asked as the waiter walked us to our table.

"It's just us tonight," I said proudly. As we walked there were framed photos of special times we had together. Birthdays, holidays, my draft day, random outings. They were all hanging for her to see. Our table was set up in the middle of the floor so as we ate we could see everything around us. There were more little sculptures or sayings placed in different spots around the room. I sat down and watched as she walked around, looking closely at everything. She came back and sat down after a long time with tears in her eyes. "I did good?" I asked, mimicking her from earlier. She nodded silently and sat in my lap, still crying.
