Jiles' POV
"Was that the last of it?" I asked one of the movers.
"Yep, that was the last box," he said. I thanked him and walked into my condo which was now packed with boxes full of Raegan's things. She was finally moving in with me and I was excited. We were starting on the nursery soon even though she was forcing me to look at houses. The condo was a 'bachelor pad' and not only was I getting married I was having a kid so according to Raegan we needed a house. She'd been living with me one day and already wanted to move.
"Yeah, this is the room we want the nursery to be in," I heard her talking to Jayden and Kyle upstairs. They were supposed to be coming over to unpack boxes with us but really they just came to help Rae decide how she wanted to redecorate my house.
I walked upstairs watching the three of them through the doorway.
"Boo," Rae smiled when she noticed me watching her.
"I don't know why y'all are even in here. I already said I'm decorating my daughter's nursery," I teased.
"Baby, you have no decorating skills at all. Do you see what this condo looks like?" she clapped back. Jayden and Kyle laughed and I just sucked my teeth.
"Yeah, whatever. I'll be downstairs unpacking yo shit," I pointed. She blew a kiss and I left them in there to plan out God knows what.
I got through three boxes by the time Isaac's slow ass got over there. I called him the same time Rae called the girls. Why he got there an hour after them? Who knows.
"About time, nigga. I thought you said you wasn't doing nothing," I said, letting him in.
"Nigga I wasn't," he laughed. I shook my head and showed him to the living room where all of the boxes and furniture were. She wanted to keep some of her stuff and my condo was pretty much empty. My living room consisted of one couch, a TV stand, and a TV. Raegan was talking about getting another couch, a chair, an ottoman. A whole bunch of shit. Our compromise was to move her furniture in for now.
"How you and Kyle been?" I asked as we carried one part of the couch over to right spot.
"She upstairs right?" he asked. We set the couch down and I nodded my head. He looked around like he was tryna make sure she wasn't around. "I think we slipped up, bro," he said and my eyes got big. I knew exactly what kind of slip up he was talking about.
"How'd you slip up nigga? She ain't on birth control?" I asked.
"Nah, my pullout game is immaculate," he grinned. I looked at him like he was stupid.
"Clearly not if you slipped up," he sucked his teeth and walked over, helping me carry the other section of the couch over.
"I didn't tell her in time and now it might be too late," he said. My eyes got big again. This nigga slipped up and didn't say anything? He must want a child.
"You tryna trap her nigga?" I asked, laughing.
"No, I just didn't realize until it was too late for a plan b or some shit. She's too scared to take a test, though," I was sure she was having the same talk with Raegan and Jayden upstairs which was kinda funny to me. Raegan could convince her to take one, though. That'd be something if they got pregnant back to back.
After we moved the furniture to the various places in the condo the girls made their way back downstairs.
"Coming to actually help do some work?" I asked.
