Jiles' POV
2 months had gone by and Raegan still wasn't back in the house. She and Dream had moved into an apartment a couple minutes away from our house. I begged and begged for her to come home but she said she needed a break from me for the last two months of her pregnancy. She didn't want anything happening with him due to stress. I got Dream half of the time and I loved my baby girl so much but having her and Rae in another home made the one I lived in not feel like home anymore. Sugar was all I had to keep me company since Rae's apartment didn't accept pets.
I was laying on the couch when I got a call from Rae.
"Hello," I said, groggily into the phone.
"Jiles please come over here. He's coming!" she yelled into the phone. I instantly jumped off of the couch, trying to understand her.
"He's coming Jiles, I can feel his head!" I already had my jacket on and raced over to her apartment, calling an ambulance on the way. I reached her apartment before paramedics did and found Raegan in her bathroom trying to sit down in the bathtub. The water was still filling up and stuck my hands in, feeling for his head without even thinking.
"I feel it, too. Can you push?" I asked her.
"I have to wait for a contraction," she reminded me. I held her hand as we waited for another contraction to hit and when it did she pushed as hard as she could.
"Good baby! He's almost there. You just got to push his shoulders out," I said. I carefully reached my hand in and felt again, able to feel more of his head. Dream was standing in the doorway crying and the paramedics still weren't there.
"I feel it!" she said, referring to the contraction.
"Push baby! Push!" She did as told and with one last big push his shoulders popped out. I pulled his body the rest of the way out as the paramedics knocked on the door. "It's open!" I called. Rae and I both cried seeing our son for the first time. The paramedics handed surgical scissors to me and I wrapped Rae's hand around mine, allowing both of us to cut the cord in the place the paramedics instructed. I expected for him to immediately cry once he took his first breath but he was quiet.
"Is he ok!?" I pressed the paramedics. They took him in their hands and checked his pulse. Before they could tell us if they found a pulse or not his cries filled the bathroom, echoing throughout the apartment. I let out a breath, crying even more, hearing him. "He got some lungs on him," I said, causing us all to laugh. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped him in it, while the paramedics helped Raegan out of the tub.
"We can take mom and baby in the ambulance if you want to meet us there with big sister," one of the women spoke, glancing at Dream. I looked hesitantly, not wanting to let Raegan or the baby out of my sight but I knew she had to get to the hospital so they could both get looked over. I grabbed Rae's hospital bag from the closet and carried Dream out as they helped Raegan and the baby into the back of the ambulance.
"You can follow closely behind, we'll use our lights and sirens," someone else instructed. I buckled Dream in tightly and hopped in the car, following close just like they said.
"Mom! Mom, Raegan had the baby in the bathroom, we're on the way to the hospital!" I yelled into the phone as I drove.
"She what!?" she asked, sounding confused as hell.
"She had the baby, ma. Can you all get here as soon as you can? And call Rick and Tonya," She agreed and I hung up calling everyone else. Isaac and Kyle got there at the same time as us and Isaac grabbed Dream from the car, allowing me to run in with Rae. They brought her to a typical delivery room and checked her and the baby out. He got a real washup and was wrapped into the hospital blankets they always give.
