Kenma's POV

I hadn't been allowed to talk to Kuroo all day, granted the day just started but it was still pretty annoying. Since he and I were both witnesses we weren't allowed to talk to each other until the case was over. I don't get the point since I've been living with him for the past few weeks, but whatever I guess. My lawyer picked me up around 7 and took me to the court house to go over the case. I was going to be called to the witness stand twice apparently. Once by my lawyer to 'state my claims' and again by my mothers lawyer to be questioned.

"I don't know what they are planning to plea, but it will most likely be not guilty. I know the guy representing your mom and he's a tricky bastard. I was hoping to figure out what he had up his sleeves before today but not everything goes to plan." My lawyer seemed frustrated and I felt kinda awkward just sitting here listening to him rant. If I knew anything about my mother it's that she wasn't going to give up easily.

'Do you think she'll try to pin this on me?' I asked him, or rather the translator in the room. Since my lawyer, and probably the whole courtroom, didn't speak sign language the translator repeats whatever I say. (I don't really feel like writing the translator dialogue since they'll just be repeating what Kenma's saying just know that they're there and that's how everyone in the courtroom knows what he's saying)
