The Last Guest 5: Aftermath [OLD]

Chapter 29: A Traitor Among Us

 Our friends have been set free, but with strange circumstances. Why did the Bacon Colonel and Blox Watch help our friends? And why is Matt an astral? There are many questions needing to be answered.

"Get talking, why are you an astral?!" Guest yelled. Matt took a deep breath, and exhaled it.

"See?! Even the askers want to know! What's happening?!" Guest yelled. "Alright! You want an answer?! Fine!" Matt yelled.

Matt took a deep breath once more and exhaled. "Normally, astrals would find a crystal to possess the power of the astrals. But not me. I was born with them"

"My parents didn't want anyone to know. Pure born astrals are rare nowadays. And I could be at risk. I was homeschooled once, until they let me go to a public school for a year, and if I was able to hide my abilities for that long, they would let me go for another year" explained Matt.

"I.. had a little incident as well with Harvey... not long ago." Matt said. Everyone froze. "Wait... Harvey's dead... He died at the canyon with your parents" Guest said. "That's the thing... He didn't die at the canyon... I killed him..." Matt said. Everyone looked at him with shock.

"Had a run in with Harvey not too long after Guest and Daisy were married. He knew about my abilities. And he was planning to expose me. I didn't have much of a choice but to kill him." Matt continued.

"You murdered someone?!" Daisy yelled. "I had to! If he reveals who I am, I could be in danger! Maybe putting my friends at risk..." Matt responded.

"Wait a minute..." said Jez. "Shadow needed a Guest, Bacon Hair, Pure Blooded, and an Astral... If Matt is the astral, then that must mean that Bethany is a pure blooded!" he concluded.

"Duh! What you thought I was an astral?! Jez you've known me all your life, you would've known if I was!" Bethany responded.

"I'm sorry I kept it a secret. My abilities, and my incident..." Matt sighed. He then turns to Captain Richards. "I understand if you are going to remove me as lieutenant.. I deserve it..." said Matt.

"You've led our people, and have done many great things. You did what you had to do, and I can't blame you for that." Captain Richards responded.

"Besides, I kinda liked you being a lieutenant by my side." Molly nudged Matt. "If you want us to keep your secret after this is all over, that's fine." the Bacon Doctor smiled.
