The Last Guest 5: Aftermath [OLD]

Chapter 3: Voices of Fire

One month after Jez and Bethany reunited. The voices have not yet left them. Some have gotten used to them pretty quickly, others are infuriated by them. But what questions are our friends yet to answer?

Jez was alerted by the voices. He and his friends were watching a movie at the theaters. "Huh? What?!" Jez yelled. Countless shushing filled the room. Embarrassed, Jez quickly covered his mouth. He tapped on Bethany's shoulder. "Psst, Beth, I am just going to go to the bathroom. Okay? Tell me what I missed when I get back.". Bethany nodded and Jez walked out of the room.

He walked inside the men's washroom and leaned on the wall. "Okay, so um... What was the question again?" Jez asked. The voice repeated to question to him and Jez's face immediately turned red. "NO! WE ARE NOT! WE ARE JUST FRIENDS AND NOTHING MORE!!!" He tried to not to yell, but he wasn't able to contain his own voice.

"Okay, fine. I like her a little. Just a little." Jez gripped onto his arm and his face fades to the pale white color it was before. "It's just that her beautiful lavender hair and her sweet soft voice. It just gets me. She was just so pretty and-" Jez's voice cut off as he realized what he was saying. "NO! I MEAN, SHE'S OKAY I GUESS!" Jez's face turned red again.

Jez stops leaning on the wall and exits the bathroom. "Well,  I'm going to watch the movie." He walks to the theater door marked 4. He reaches for the handle until a group of people walked out of it.

"WHAT?! I MISSED IT!? COME ON!" Jez put both hands onto his face. "Sorry, dude. But what happened in the end was just as you said it would be." Matt said. "Oh. Why am I not surprised..?" Jez grumbled. "Seriously Daisy, why did you want to see that movie? The writers always make the story predictable!" Molly implied.

"Because I believe in second chances! Maybe in the next movie, it will be better!" Daisy countered. "You always say that.." Bethany grumbled. "Because you are dumb enough to realize that." Daisy's voice suddenly got nasty.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!" Bethany gave Daisy a hard slap on the face. She yelped as she growled. "Listen here, missy! I can easily beat the HELL out of you! So I suggest you choose your words wisely..." Bethany growled. "Yeah, you're right." Daisy mumbled.

"That was way too polite, how about orange weirdo, or pathetic welp, or maybe even, PEDO LOVER?" That was the last straw. Bethany burst into anger as she pulled Daisy toward her and gave her the biggest punch she has ever given her. Daisy fell to the ground. "You are lucky I couldn't kill you in front of your husband..." Bethany growled as Guest witnessed the entire scene.

"Wow, they still hate each other after what happened?" Guest whispered to Jez. "I guess so." Jez replied.
