The Last Guest 5: Aftermath [OLD]

Chapter 39: Afterlife

We... we did it! WE WON! But... everyone... dead. Charlie the sole survivor. So many lives lost. So what now...?

He's arrived. I must speak to him.

Guest lies in a dark room, he opens his eyes. He gets back onto his feet, looking around. He only saw emptiness.

Guest looked around, no one was around. He wandered around the endless void, hoping to know what is happening.

"Guest..." a familiar voice called out. Guest turned around to see the girl from the real world. "You've done it. We won." the girl said.

"Am.. am I dead?" Guest asked. "Yes... and no..." the girl answered.

"You are dead, but you can relive another life" the girl further explained. "You could've saved us. But you didn't... why..?" Guest asked.

"I could, but in order to save you, I needed to control the Rthros. I wasn't able to do so. Their will is stronger than I thought, for those who are still developing" the girl explained.

"And when they are out of my control, they can do whatever, even decide other's fates by killing others or sparing them" the girl said.

"That is why I cannot save you all. If I could control them, I would have them spare you. Because I couldn't, they did the exact opposite" the girl further explained.

"But you can bring us back by will, right? Can't you do that?" Guest asked. "I'm afraid not. You see... those askers... they are the key to this world's survival" the girl explained.

"If your world is forgotten, it will fade away, including the people who live on it. Those askers help keep that world alive by sticking by you, throughout your journey" the girl continued.

"And even if this story ends, they will still remember it. If it fades in their memory,  more will come to keep the world alive." the girl continued.

"In order to do so, I need to keep them entertained. So I brought in those dangers, to bring excitement to those askers." the girl said.

"You did this... for their enjoyment?" Guest asked. "Like I said, those askers help keep your world alive. By bringing those events to you, they stay and watch. They wanted to know more about what comes next." the girl responded.

"The more events and action, the more askers would want to stay to prevent this world from slipping away. They don't even know that they're doing just that" the girl further explained.

"If I just simply bring you all back, they would lose interest. Some may want them back, others would want it to stay as it is." the girl continued.

"Bringing you back to life isn't as interesting. But killing those would bring them to our attention. If they lose interest, this world would be forgotten" the girl continued.

"It was not my intention to kill most of your friends, but it kept many askers busy, so I kept it as it is" the girl said.

"I..." Guest did not know what to say. The girl hushed him as she was continuing. "Remember, I did this to keep your world running, the world your daughter, the sole survivor, is living on."

Guest thought about his daughter. He knew that she is alone now after everything happened. He wanted her to live on though. She had a future ahead of her, and he wanted her to chase after it.

"I... I understand" Guest replied. "But what now? Where do I go? It's just an endless void."

"Your friends. They're not here are they? Do you wonder where they have gone?" the girl asked. Guest nodded.

"When one dies, they have a choice to live within your counterpart in another timeline" the girl explained.

"Timeline?" Guest asked, confused. "Yes, yet you may not be able to control your counterpart, but you can see through their perspective" the girl explained.

"If I can't control my counterpart, then what's the point of living through them?" Guest asked. "It's so you could see what your life COULD'VE been." the girl explained.

"All your friends, they've gone to live in the same timeline. They're waiting for you." the girl said.

"What is this timeline?" Guest asked. "A timeline, where it's just you living your regular lives. A few dangers, but at least there isn't a genocide going on." the girl explained.

"It's like your timeline, but the difference is... there will be no askers intruding your lives, no Shadow, no Rthros." the girl said.

Guest thought for a moment. He thought about his friends. He then looked at the girl.

"I'll go there. If my friends are there, then I'll be, too." Guest said. The girl smiled. "Then until next time."

A door then opens, behind it, was pure white. Guest walked toward the door. He turned around to see the girl waving at him.

Guest waved back before turning away to the door, to live his next life.

Guest lies in a bed, he wakes up to a beautiful morning. However, this was not the Guest we stuck by with, it was his counterpart, yet his soul lives within him.

Guest heads outside to see the neighborhood in peace. A group of his friends stood on a sidewalk. Jez waved at him.

Guest smiled as he walked toward that group. "What took you so long?" Daisy asked. "Nothing, just a little tired" Guest smiled.

"Well, you ready to go?" Matt asked. "Yeah, let's go." Guest smiled. They walk together on the sidewalk.

Suddenly, they hear a rumble. The sky turns red. Then they see a large missile.

They dodge out of the missiles range, citizens started screaming. They then see many robots, terrorizing people. 

They then see a larger robot, then they hear a voice. They hear a cackle within the robot. They then see someone inside the robot.

He was a bacon hair, one bit of his hair red and the other black. He wore a striped shirt, as well as a cloak.

"You will all bow down to me! Robloxia will be mine! NO ONE WILL STOP ME!" the bacon hair yelled.

Bethany got up. Guest and his friends watched. Bethany's eyes then turned purple, and she shot out a blast.

The blast hit the robot. The robot looked at Bethany. They met face to face. Guest and his friends ran out of the way and watched.

"Not if I had anything to do with it..."

And... there you have it! The story is finally complete!
