i know this problem has been addressed many times. we all know that thirdunion is a problematic ship, to say the least. i have something to say that i think should be addressed about it, cus many people kind of think about it and toss this crucial part aside.

the actual ship is controversial, and it's okay to not like it and it's okay to like it. that is the point of the countryhumans fandom, to represent countries or entities (historical and present) as a way to educate people, and just to have fun.

the thing is when you make these characters uwu gay twink soft boy whatever and only that, it is not okay. it's fine to ship thirdunion and all that, as long as you portray them in a way that does them justice. what i see a lot is people casting aside history and pretending history didn't happen, just to make their fanfic cute or whatever. obviously, this happens with every ship in countryhumans fandom, and evidently i'm guilty of it too - just with these two specifically i beg you not to make them only uwu soft boys by nature.

what i'm saying is that you need to be careful with things like this. please keep in mind that this is coming from somebody who does ship it. im a fangirl and i admit it, i ship it.

moral of the story: shipping thirdunion is fine!! you go!! do whatever you want <3 just please be careful and mindful abt it
