"oh dieu," canada mumbled under his breath, tubbing his temples at the bizarre idea his older brother, the U.S.A, had auggested.
"oh dyoo all you want 'nada, i think this is brilliant," his friend ukraine snickered, mocking his french in a terrible, very obvious russian accent.
"it's really not," he said, looking to poland, hoping that they would back him up.
"why are you looking at me? you know i will take every possible chance to annoy niemcy," the pole giggled, teasing the canadian's awful attempt at stopping them.
they were all sitting around a small, cozy coffee table. america had invited them all over to his house to hang out. germany and russia also reluctantly arrived, however they were sitting on the sofa across the room, engaged in their own seperate conversation.
having run out of conversation topics, the group sat there awkwardly in silence until america came up with a terrible, terrible idea. at least, in canada's opinion. the rest of the countries thought that it was amazing.
the canadian knew his brother. when he was bored, he wanted somebody to torment. in this specific case, it was two very strong countries who don't love pranks. they're gonna kill us, canada thought hopelessly, aware that he won't be able to stop the others. maybe he could at least make sure they don't go too far...

short timeskip :0

that didn't go as planned. all germany wanted was to hang out with some friends on a friday night. it started out nice, though. he sat down at his coworker america's house with his old friend russia and just talked a bit. they haven't interacted much since the reunification, but they were on pretty good terms.
plus, russia was pretty cute. although he would never say it out loud, he knew his friend was not gay, and telling him that would make things awkward between them, just when they started talking again.
      but nope.
he should have known the america wouldn't let the peaceful aura last.

"what the fuck?" germany rubbed his fists against his eyes, attempting to clear his view of wherever he was. he turned around and surveyed the area.
he was standing in the middle of a dimly lit room. there seemed to be some strange looking furniture around him, with little lanterns and small desk spaces. but something was weird. his movements seemed to be limited.
the aryan looked down at the floor and saw....russia?
"russland? oh gott, russland wake up," germany pleaded, shaking his friend awake. "oh thank god you're alive,"
"hey, ger," russia mumbled sleepily. "where are we?" he took a glance around the room.  "what happened? why are our hands chained together?"
"i'm not sure. i assume somebody knocked us out," the shorter country explained.
"it's probably that bastard Америка—" his companian growled.
"you know Amerika. if it was him then it was probably his idea of a joke,"
"knocking out your guests isn't very funny,"
"everything is funny to the american." neither of them bothered to hide their eye roll. as they noticed the other did it as well, they started snickering,
"how are we going to get out?" russia asked suddenly after the laughing died.
"i'm assuming there is a way, america may be stupid, but he isn't dumb. i took a look around the room befoe you woke up. it seems like there are puzzles or something here,"
russia got on his feet and brushed the dust off his adidas jacket with his free arm. he adjusted his famous ushanka before dramatically clearing his throat.
"where shall we start, добрый сэр (good sir)?"
"well, i guess we have to find the key, oder?" germany chuckled lightly at his friend's act. this was going to be hard, he sighed. not because russia wasn't smart, no. russia was practically a genius, but the german knew how easily frustrated he could get when his plans didn't work. "look around the room, see if you find anything that pops out to you," he suggested after a few moments of silence.
"germany. we're chained together. how the fuck am i going to do that,"
"look around from where you are,"
"hmm. it would be a lot easier if i could just—," russia grumbled before pulling hard at the metal laces. "—break them open,"
"not everything can be solved by destroying something, russland. let's try to find the key so that we can get out safely," the shorter country said to his companian before turning around and scanning the room

bingo. there was something there that was shining brightly in the right corner of the room. however, that little glimmer of light was blocked by a weird, large box. germany frantically opened it, forgetting that his left arm could not be used, as it was tightly tied to another's.
"sorry," he mumbled to the russian after he realized that he jerked his friend's hand quite harshly. his attention returned to the box in front of it, eyes sparkling with ancipitation.
the country's tricolored hand moved carefully over to the lid of the large object before swifty lifting it and placing it onto the floor beside him. poor russia couldn't really do anything since he was tied to germany, so he was forced to slump around while germany worked.

russia's head eventually made it to his knees, who were squeezed in close to his chest, making the tall country a big ball of red, white and blue.
"you okay?" a certain german asked as he took the break from his thinking and analyzing.
"how are you so fucking good at everything, it isn't fair. i'm forced to stand here and be me next to someone like you, and i'm not even trying to help and i'm so fucking stupid and i'm a useless bag of shi—,"
it hurf germany to see his friend like this. he never meant for russia to think that he was better than him, je never meant to make him feel bad. he wanted to do something, he wantd to do something so bad. but he didn't know what.
he just couldn't look at russia's beautiful face filled with such sadness and self-doubt. germany knew how much more he was than this stupid prank. he was worth more than the sun.
but he didn't know what to do.

      so he kissed him.
     right on the lips.
out of no where, right in the middle of russia's rambling.
he had nice lips. they were warm, chapped however soft. he could taste some faint vodka on his gorgeous, gorgeous pink lips. it was perfect.

he had forgotten russia was not gay.
he had forgotten that russia was only his friend,
he forget that they were chained together, and how fucking awkward this will be.

the kiss wasn't long. it lasted less than a second, more like a peck than an actual kiss. it wasn't enough time to feel if russia was kissing back or not. all germany knew was that he was now a very bright shade of red
"you're not stupid, russland. you're so so smart, and you're so brave and kind and loveable and handsome and—"
he stopped when he saw his friend's free thumb touch his lips. but wasn't russia straigh—

it was the taller country's turn to kiss him. this time it was more than a peck.
russia smashed their lips together, opening his mouth slightly to add in some tongue. germany had a peculiar taste. he tasted like cigerettes and honey and beer. it was an weird combination, but it definitely kept things interesting.

timeskip again woohoo

they walked out of the room holding hands that were no longer chained together. ukraine was the first of the group to notice their laced hands and called it out like the annoying little brother that he is.
this made russia blush a bit.
yeah, he liked germany. but he wasn't sure if ger wanted to have a label for it yet.
ukraine took note of this as well. "oh! is the big strong russia blushing? who would have thought such a powerful country could have feelings for one—"
"ты маленькая сука (you little bitch)," russia growled before placing a light kiss on germany's cheek, shortly after seem chasing ukraine and evidently trying to murder him.

oh sheiße, the aryan thought, he kissed me in front of everyone oh gott
he hid is face in his arms, and turned his head from the others so that they could not see the flustered mess that he had become.

"so how'd you like the escape room?" america suddenly laughed loudly, interrupting the commotion.
"i hate you," said russia before changing his target to him. america quickly realized this and started to run.
"я люблю тебя" he said, turning briefly to germany before running after the pesky american.
"i love you to, russland," the shorter mumbled before turning an even darker shade of red.
