Molly B.

———
I woke up to the sun shining in my face. I left the curtains opened, I immediately got up and went to shut them. I turned on my turntable on whatever record I left the day before and I walked to the bathroom. I turned on the faucet to wet my face, and I then intently stared at the mirror. I could see how my dark brown short hair formed its natural waves. I really wished that I never cut it to shoulder-length but the damage had been done.

As soon as I finished washing my face and admiring my hair, the turntable stopped. I walked into my kitchen and checked my phone, I had no appointments scheduled that day, no meetings, no counseling, nothing. It was odd considering I was a social worker, and there was always something to do whether it's spending time with a patient or counseling. I guess today I really had nothing to do, ever since I moved to Virginia it's been mostly calm, I've been here for almost a year.

I've made some friends, mostly co-workers, and the occasional meet-up at the coffee shop. But I've maintained a "low-key" social life. I find it troubling maintaining friendships, that reason being is I'm constantly on the move. Over the past 4 years, I've been in 6 different states. Most of the time they were temporary placements, but being here in Virginia has been one of the longest stays I had. I realized I still was in my pj's and it was almost 2 pm so I decided to get ready to go catch up on some extra work I wanted to do.

I put on some light makeup, nothing too dramatic, and I changed into some dark grey mom jeans and a UCLA sweatshirt. I then found my necklace that said "Gracie" on it and sighed. I put on my light purple sneakers and I grabbed my laptop and some notebooks and put it in a shoulder bag. I looked like a full-blown college student. I really did though but in reality I was 24 and out of college. I grabbed my phone and some headphones and put them in the bag. I realized I was forgetting something, I went back into my bedroom, and on the side table were my glasses. I had just gotten them prescribed to me a couple of weeks ago, the adjustment has been hard. I grabbed my keys and out the door, I went.

———

After working at the local coffee shop, and gulping 3 extra-large cups of coffee for the past 4 hours. I had received a call later in the evening.

"Hi, is this Molly B. Miller?"

I didn't recognize the voice.

"Yes this is she, how may I help you?"

"Hello, this is Agent Jareau from the Behavioral Analysis Unit. I was calling to see if you could come down to Quantico, Virginia, and help us out with a case."

"The BAU? I assure you, you have the wrong person I don't understand how I could possibly help with a case from the FBI."

"Ms. Miller, we have a suspect that we firmly believe was one of your patients a few years back. His name is Benjamin Munro. He has no record of evidence of any living family members, or that any existed at all. You are the only contact we have listed. We would really appreciate it if you could come down and help us. I can discuss more details of the case as soon as you arrive."

Benjamin Munro. Wow. Me and him had a instant connection when we had our sessions. His mother died but he would be excited to see me, always was the kindest soul. We never really got to talking about his trauma but I could tell he needed a friend. I wonder he could've possibly done.

"Benjamin Munro? In that case, I will be there as soon as tomorrow morning "

"Thank you."

The call ended. I was still very much confused, but I had no time to waste. I lived about 2 hours away from Quantico, and it was already pretty late.

———

I ended up deciding I wanted to arrive there in the early morning. I wanted to be ready physically and mentally as soon as I got there. So I got ready before I left, I put on some dress pants, and a fitted white shirt I tucked in my pants. I put my necklace on and held onto it while staring at the mirror. I put on some sneakers and grabbed my black heels in one hand and a black blazer in the other. I grabbed anything I thought could be useful, my laptop, any files I had on Benjamin on hand, and put them in my shoulder bag. I grabbed my phone and glasses, I left at early dawn, so I could get there before the usual rush hour begins.

After 2 hours of being on the road watching the sunrise from the highway, I had arrived in Quantico, Virginia. I had bought myself a to-go cup of coffee at a local diner, before heading to the headquarters. I did my makeup natural, but appropriate for work. I had acted like this was a job interview, but only realized it now. It was getting close to 8 am, I put on my heels and blazer, grabbed my shoulder bag and my coffee and I headed inside.

I waited as the elevator went up to the BAU. As I exited I was immediately greeted by a blonde woman at the entrance.

"Hello, I'm Jennifer Jareau. We spoke on the phone yesterday."

"Hi Agent, I'm Molly B. Miller"

We shook hands as I smiled at her clutching my bag with my unoccupied hand. We then walked into a separate room, I saw a very handsome dark man sitting on the right.

"Hi, I'm Derek Morgan"

He smiled at me as he spoke and I then spotted a beautiful black-haired woman with bangs sitting next to him and she waved and smiled at me as she introduced herself.

"I'm Emily Prentiss, it's great to have you here!"

Next to her was an older man, he seemed to be short-tempered and very serious. But as soon as he spoke those speculations just flew out of my mind.

"Hello, I'm Agent David Rossi! You seem young to be a social worker! Must be a new face in the system!"

He smiled at me as he shook my hand. A very sweet man I must admit. I then looked over at a young fella looking over a file. He was quite handsome as well. He seemed to be quiet, not really caring much about the introductions. I approached his side of the table where he was at. He looked up as I got closer and closed the file.

"Hi, I'm Molly B. Miller! Nice to meet you!"

I don't know why my tone of voice changed when I approached him. He then let out a smile and looked at me.

"I'm Dr. Spencer Reid. Welcome."

He didn't extend his hand out, so I assumed he either expected me to or he just didn't do that. So I shot a little wave. I then turned around to face a whiteboard, that had pictures of victims. I covered my mouth as I looked at the photos. They were gruesome, terrible, and horrific. As I scanned through those pictures it's becoming clearer on why I was brought here. I was still staring at the pictures when a tall black-haired man spoke.

"Miss Miller, thank you so much very coming on short notice. I'm Agent Aaron Hotchner"

I turned around to see a tall man, gesturing me to sit down. I sat down next to Dr. Reid, he still paid no attention to me.

Agent Hotchner showed no reaction, that was quite obvious. The last team member to come through the door was holding several files in her hands. She had blonde hair and her clothing style was perfection.

"I'm so sorry I'm late! The printer was jammed! And I tried to use the one downstairs but then that one got jammed too. So I-"

"Settle down Garcia, it's okay. Just hand them out."

Said, Agent Hotchner. She then started to hand out the files to everyone, once she got to me she seemed confused but smiled.

"Hi, I'm Penelope Garcia! I'm the Technical
Analysis Agent here! You must be Ms. Miller!"

"Yes and you all can just call me Molly!"

I said smiling to everyone.

Agent Jareau then started discussing the case. I opened the case file and started reading.
