"How is she holding?" Bokuto asked after a long pause.

"You know how she is. She looks okay. She even sounds okay" Akaashi replied "It's been a while now, shouldn't you be talking to her?"

"I think it's for the best if I don't. I can't hurt her again" a small, sad smile adorned his face.

"You really should stay away from her" Akaashi was mad at him "You pursued her for a whole semester, had her fall for you only to leave her right after" he scoffed.

"If only I could tell her anything to comfort her"

"You know better than anyone else that she doesn't need comforting, but if you really want things to get better tell her you need her back before it's too late"

"I can't do that Akaashi" he shook his head "I'm just lucky I don't get to see the torment on her face. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if she really were expressive enough"

Akaashi didn't know what else to say. The fact that Kagami made an exception for Akaashi itself was overwhelming for him.

"Akaashiii..." Bokuto said but his tone was different "I know you like her"

Akaashi just froze in his place, his mind was start white and he couldn't find any words to voices

"I can't trust her with anyone else. Keep her away from that math teacher of yours... she's gonna run from every unknown feeling she gets and she won't tell you unless you keep annoying her. She always knows what she's doing and if she doesn't, she never likes it. She's stubborn like that" he chuckled "Simple yet so stubborn... she likes pink, Akaashi. Just the nice fluffy ones, nothing too raunchy. She likes strawberry milk, shortcake and stationery. She likes volleyball practice and she has a stash of paints that she stored away and I kept telling her to take them out again. She never did. That was supposed to be a secret but... there it goes. She gets cold too soon, she usually doesn't trouble anyone around but when she's thinking too much she forgets her jacket and pouts all day when she's cold. She won't say a word about it but she'll keep pouting. Don't forget Pocky, she loves the strawberry flavoured ones..."

Akaashi couldn't understand why Bokuto was telling him all this. He wanted to punch him in the face and knock some sense right into his head but he knew damn well how nice that would turn out to be.

It had been over a month since they broke up and Akaashi hadn't the face to go talk to her. He remembered what Bokuto said and gathered all his courage to go pick her up for school. And when he saw her sitting outside her room, on the edge of the roof his eyes couldn't see anything else. The way the rays of the sun illuminated her coloured orbs, he swore that Bokuto was a fool. He knew it was wrong to develop feelings for her but god forbid she ruined it all for him over and over again. She sat in her uniform while Ninjin soaked in the sun beside her and when she turned to look at his inebriate form, whatever traces of life that was left in his body faded away.

"S-Sei chan... y-you'll fall!"

"Isn't that very convenient?" She raised her brow at him. She had gone back to the satan like person she was before Bokuto happened. No, she was much worse.

She walked with him to school because she was too tired to say no and she knew very well that he wouldn't let her be. But all the way to school she uttered nothing. He barely heard her breathe despite his efforts to get her to talk to him.

Every time she crossed paths with Bokuto, Akaashi held for his dear life. Bokuto would conveniently avoid her since he was way taller and she would glare at the nothingness behind him. If looks could kiss someone, the poor wall behind Bokuto would be burning in hell.

She had no hatred towards him, she had no anger or frustration that she held. She knew her strength and she'd embraced it. As calm as she was, if anyone dared to cross her path and it wasn't either Bokuto or Akaashi, she'd burn them to the ground. The demon eyes now had a stellar reputation. She was the scariest person to ever exist in the history of Fukurodani. Precisely the way she liked it.

She watched all his matches as he did hers. But they never saw each other in the eye again. Bokuto cut off all contact with the outside world as his father took him under his wing. Even Akaashi could barely ever reach him.

Seikan was angry initially. She even saw how Akaashi did small things for her like Bokuto would and got angrier at the fact that Bokuto even had the audacity to ask Akaashi to do it instead. As much as she appreciated what the raven haired setter did for her, the pain only increased. She finally opened her treasure trove and took out her paints "I'm angry so I'll paint" she said to Ninjin with a smile on her face.

Amidst all this, when she thought things wouldn't finally get any worse, she heard the doorbell ring and instantly knew it was a message from hell.

"I'll get it" she ran towards the door in her paint clad clothes only to see Satori standing outside with a guilty look on his face.

"Come in" she said, leading him inside "Otosama! Niisaan is here to see you"

"I'm here to see you too" he mumbled.

"Now that you have, I should get back to work"

"Have you been doing well?"

"I've never been better" she said and his eyes widened. He hadn't heard one of her automated replies in a long time and his head tugged in shame "I'm sorry, Sei Sei"

Seikan went back to painting after letting Satori settle with their father. A while later she felt Satori sneak up on her as she painted "Can you never learn how to knock?"

"That looks beautiful. What is it?" He looked at the black and red abstract that looked very abnormally pleasing.

"It's about how anger destroys everything" she said. What she failed to understand was how hard that hit Satori who'd lashed out at her in a fit of anger.

"I'd like to buy that painting" he looked at it in awe.

"Then get in line. Okaasan already asked for it"
