"S-S-S-Sei chan..." Akaashi fumbled with his words with every step she took towards Kiara. The dark aura that seeped out of her paired with her calm, intimidating strides scared everyone in the room.
"S-Seikan chan..." Kiara stumbled backwards in fright "I didn't mean to-"
"Do you not remember what I said?" The dark veil cast over her already dull heterochromatic irises coldly peered at Kiara "I know you hate me and I don't care..." she said "But now he's my responsibility and if you ever want to see the light of day again-"
"Sei chan" Akaashi got in between the two when he finally managed to piece himself back together "You're losing your composure"
"So?" She raised her brows and he saw the devil in her eyes "I've only been nice so far, Akaashi san" she coldly said "Now look at him"
"She didn't know" he calmly said.
"Yet you claim to love him" she looked at Kiara in utter disappointment before leaning towards her "Say... do you want to pick a fight with me?"
"Sei chan." Akaashi said with a hint of warning in his tone.
"Akaashi san..." she looked at him in distaste before shifting her eyes back to Kiara "She can answer for herself. No, Kiara chan?"
"G-G-G-GoMEN!"
"Haw?? That was easy." She pouted before resuming her stoic expressions again "Now leave"
Akaashi sighed as Kiara went running and the boys volleyball team just awkwardly stood there looking at each other "Sei chan, that was a little too rude"
"It's a necessary evil if you must name it" she confidently said, her eyes still fixed on resting Bokuto "I don't express myself much..." she slowly sat on his bed and traced his inflamed hand with her fingers. "...but if someone steps on the line, I'll step on them" she was so angry, if Akaashi didn't step in, she'd put the rumours to rest by actually whooping her. Her anger reduced to dust when Bokuto reacted to her touch and reached for her hand. "Bokuto san, are you feeling better?" she put a smile on her face as soon as his eyes fluttered open.
"Sei chan..." he mumbled "I can't... see you well"
"It's the medicines, you should rest for a while longer" she held his hand tight, waiting for him to respond.
"Will you... be here?" His voice croaked because of how hazy he was.
"I will" she assured him, watching him fall asleep just seconds after. Akaashi swallowed the lump in his throat as he watched her warm up to Bokuto like that. He'd seen her angry for the first time that day and he hadn't felt such strong tingles rake through his spine before.
"Ah, is he alright? I heard he fell sick" another voice interrupted Akaashi's reverie.
"Murakami Sensei..." he mumbled.
"Yes, he had a bad allergic reaction"
"Oh, that's too bad." He expressed his sympathies "Don't you two have class?"
"We do" Akaashi said.
"You two should go. I have the time off now, I can look-"
"I can't go" Seikan softly cut him off.
Murakami fell silent for five seconds before lowering his head "Is it true that he only remembers you?"
"Yes"
"Is that why you can't go?"
"Yes"
"I'll stay with you. Akaashi, go to class" he said and Akaashi didn't know what else to say. He looked at Seikan, trying to find signs of discomfort but when she nodded at him to do what their Sensei said he hesitantly walked back to class.
Seikan stopped breathing when she felt his breath fan her ear "His breathing is unstable, his hands have inflamed, his blood pressure is low..." He examined Bokuto from over her shoulder "His body is in a shock. Did he eat nuts?"
"H-How..." she shakily whispered, hoping Bokuto would wake up soon.
"It's not too severe" he cooed in her ear "He'll be just fine"
"H-How did you... know?"
"I happen to know a lot of things, Seikan" he took her hand in his eyeing her inked fingers and she internally died of shock. "You shouldn't strain your delicate hands too much."
He couldn't fathom why she would stay frozen like that but he liked how she reacted to his touch "I can't imagine you playing such a rough sport with these hands..." he smiled. She saw a bright white light flash before her eyes as she felt his cheek press against her ear "Why do you run away from me?" He inhaled her cherry blossom scent, feeling a wave of ecstasy transmit through his body.
She began quaking when she remembered Bokuto telling her the exact same words "Seikan, are you okay?" He was worried "Did I scare you?"
Through all the anxiety she managed to nod, her eyes still wandering around Bokuto's face hoping that he'd wake up soon. She blamed herself for telling Akaashi that it was okay to leave.
"Sumimasen" he moved away "I'm not as bad as you think I am, Seikan. I just happen to like you"
She finally put her unbundling nerves together and gathered the courage to finally look at him, she paused when she saw him look at her like that "I don't want an answer" he smiled "I apologise for startling you all the while. Let me make it up to you-"
"You put me in detention"
"I'm sorry" he earnestly apologised "Girls like getting special attention and-"
"I don't"
"I figured" he said giving her some space.
She mentally sighed, thinking that the scary conversation was finally over "You'll fall for me, Seikan" he sternly but huskily said "You'll fall for me and you won't be able to do anything about it"
Seikan couldn't move after hearing that. The only person who could save her was fast asleep and when he woke up again, she hadn't felt so relieved in long. "B-Bokuto san..." she whimpered in half fear and half worry. Bokuto was taken aback by her, he tried to decipher why her tenor was so different and when he saw Murakami his face went blank.
"Ah, Kotaro! You're finally up" he smiled "Do you feel okay?"
"I do" he said.
"Oh? Let me call the doctor then" Murakami stepped outside and Bokuto watched her meekily see him leave.
Just when she thought she was out of troubled waters she heard Bokuto's grim voice that said "How long has he been bothering you for?"
"Wh-What?"
"He clearly makes you uncomfortable" Bokuto seemed pissed even though he kept a blank face on. His inexpressive eyes were fixed on the door, his lips forming the smallest frown on his face while all his attention was still on her.
"I..."
"Why do I not remember you telling me this?"
"I..." she looked at her hands in defeat "...didn't"
"He'll have you fall for him?" Bokuto was terrifyingly calm and her heart stopped when she realised that he'd heard it. "Who is he?"
"Sensei..." she said and Bokuto was slightly astonished at when he learned that Murakami was a professor there.
When Bokuto put his arms around her, her anxiety tripled but in a good way. She felt a sense of relief wash system knowing that she was in Bokuto's arms "Now baby..." he huskily cooed in her ear "Should I first tell on him or should I mark you mine?"
