"Seikan..." she turned around to see her Sensei standing rather close to her. She took a step backwards to find her back pressing against the tall bookshelf.
"Sen...sei..." she stuttered watching him take a book from a higher shelf. He placed his hand beside her and leaned close to her ear. "Oh, they don't have the latest edition..." he mumbled reading out from the label of the book in his view. He took a deep whiff of her scent and his felt his insides grind. He quickly fixed his spectacles and slightly turned to look at her flushed face "Now, what are you doing to me at the library?"
Her heart stopped when she realised how close he was to her. "It's okay" his finger caressed her cheek "You don't have to run from me" his other hand ran up her skirt but he stopped when he saw her flinch. "Scared of me, Seikan?" He chuckled and she didn't even dare to look at him.
"I hope you do well in your test tomorrow" he gently kissed her ear "Good luck"
Seikan dropped to her knees in horror, clutching her book close to her heart. She was disturbed all evening. Even Bokuto and Akaashi picked it up while studying together.
She was startled when Bokuto held her hand "Sei chan, what's wrong?"
"Nothing" she mumbled, turning her focus back to the book in her hands. She wasn't going to tell Bokuto. He was already handling enough. She was the kind of person she wouldn't want around herself.
Her thoughts faded a little when his grip tightened "Sei chan..."
"I'm just worried about the test" she said.
Bokuto didn't buy it but he didn't ask her again either. He kept a close watch on her all evening and it hurt him to see her so disturbed.
"Sei chan, do you want me to make something for you?" He softly asked and she shook her head "Ramen? Pasta?"
"No..." she gratefully said "But thank you"
Their walk back home was rather quiet. Not like Seikan usually spike a lot but, it was colder and distant than usual. Bokuto looked at her hand loosely hanging in his "Baby, are you alright? You're beginning to worry me"
"I really am" she replied.
"I hope you know you can tell me everything" he said "I'll listen to you. I'll even fix it if you want me to... no judgments"
Seikan fell head over heels for Bokuto a hundred thousand times again. "I will" she smiled "I'm here for you too"
Seikan was so disturbed she didn't do very well in her test the next day.
"Seikan, I thought I told you to do well just yesterday." Murakami clicked his tongue in disappointment. He leaned forward from his seat "But it's not bad..." he cooed "This might land you a detention next time"
She simply nodded and Akaashi's eyes twitched at how stiff she was. She was never intimidated by anyone. Maybe Bokuto, but for good reasons. She wasn't one to cower or slip away so soon.
She was quiet all day. She tried to cut everything out and study seriously for the retest he decided to give them all the very next day.
She uncovered her mind from the book and tugged her head up to see someone sit right opposite to her seat. Her pencil dropped from her hand.
"Ah..." he bent under the table to get her pencil for her but made sure his hands brushed against her legs on his way back up.
"Do you mind if I sat here?" He smirked giving her pencil back.
She pursed her lips and shook her head, keeping her legs as close to herself as possible. She didn't dare to look at her Sensei who was so engrossed in his book.
Murakami's heart was beating in his guts. His fingers tingled from feeling her soft skin, his senses were intrigued to touch her again but he saw how uncomfortable she was and got back to working again, occasionally stealing glances of her nervously fidgeting her pencil, making a small smile appear on his face.
"Sensei!!!" A few girls huddled "Teach us this..." she pointed at her book.
"Yeah, I don't understand this!" Another said.
"Sure, but you have to keep it down. Seikan is studying" he politely answered and saw them shoot glares at her.
"So what's the limit of x?" He was honestly tired of getting to shoot integration into their brains.
"Limit of x is minus one" Seikan mumbled because she was sick of it too and they all scoffed. Murakami looked at her with a smirk on his face "Well, at least someone's paying attention"
She didn't want to raise her head, she didn't look around. She didn't see his face, she wouldn't for another century. She quickly finished her work and ruffled her books together.
"Seikan..." he said and she stopped. The girls had long gone. "Have you ever been to detention?"
Her eyes went as wide as saucers but she didn't turn to face him "No" she softly said.
"It's fun" he said "You should have fun, Seikan. I know you're a goody two shoes and if I must add, very smart, but... this is gonna make you hate school soon"
"I think I'm fine" she politely answered.
He got up from his seat to leave. Seikan gasped when she felt his hand run across her waist "I want you..." his raspy voice breathily grazed her ears "...to try your best to stay out of detention" she clenched her eyes and stayed the same until he left, chuckling on his way out.
She knew she was dead. He was challenging her for a duel solely designed in bad faith.
"You spaced out" She nudged him out of his thoughts for the 3rd time "I just get lost in your eyes. They're very beautiful, Sei chan!!"
"AH, TARO! DON'T CREEP HER OUT!" His grandma yelled before resuming her incoherent mumbling while angrily stirring the broth.
"Don't mind her" he smiled "You're adorable"
"Have you studied for the test?" She asked.
"I have. Only a little. I'm sure you studied a lot, you were quite late today" his fingers gently rubbed her hand.
"I haven't studied enough" she said. She wasn't one to worry about a class test but her teacher's words were haunting her in a loop.
"Don't worry" he took her hand in his to press a gentle kiss on the back of her palm. "You'll ace it"
"Bokuto san..." she fidgeted uncomfortably. She barely ever called him by his name. She wouldn't talk unless she was spoken to and Bokuto began worrying.
"What is it, princess??" He scooted closer to see her hurting face. The frown on her delicate features growing to harshly twist his emotions, and even more as she gripped his arm and let out a shaky whisper
"I don't want detention"
