His funeral was the most painful thing to get through. Obaasan was still in disbelief as she saw Seikan sat before his casket with no expressions on her face. Not a syllable escaped her lips, all she could do was look at him for as long as possible before he was buried. The wailing continued in their family for way too long. She had his vows framed, resting on her nightstand, waking up to it every day. She'd even talk to it like she'd gone crazy. She thought of a 100 ways to get rid of the feeling weighing her heart down, a 100 ways to get over it, but nothing seemed to work
Seikan still took the giant yacht that was booked for the newly wed and even went to the giant hotel. All alone.
"Miss, should you be drinking that much?" A stranger snickered as she drank in the crowded bar of the hotel all alone. She even wondered how people could party so much every weekend.
"My husband just died, it's only fair that I did" she was clearly drunk because she would've just ignored him otherwise.
She was as drunk as Kate Hudson in bride wars on her bachelorette party.
"Aww, that's sad" he put his arm around her "Come now, I'll help you feel bett-"
The stranger stopped when another arm gripped his from holding her. "Leave" was all he had to say.
Seikan was certain that she was hallucinating when she was suspended in the air only to find out that she was in someone else's arms. The familiar warmth mixed with her intoxication made her feel like she was dreaming "Keiji san?" She mumbled. Her flushed face only making it worse for him to take her back to his room.
As he laid her on his bed, her eyes caught a glimpse of him but instead of screaming in horror she giggled "I must be very drunk to see Bokuto san in front of me. How absurd" she waved her hand to make the illusion disappear but when her hand touched his cheek, her stomach dropped. His golden orbs lit up in the dark but still reeked of darkness, one that she could somehow understand. She quickly retracted her hand and hid her face under the sheets "I must be way too drunk!" Was all she could assure herself with.
When she woke up in the morning with a terrible headache she hated herself for drinking so much and when she remembered seeing Bokuto, she almost had a heart attack before assuring herself that she was only seeing things. But that touch felt too real for her to believe that it was just a dream. She scoffed angrily and looked at the nightstand, only to find a few pills and a note which told her to take her pills after breakfast.
When breakfast arrived right after, she knew something was very off about the whole trip "But I didn't order for breakfast yet"
"I was told you'd be very sick" was all he said.
"By who??"
"Enjoy your meal" he left without another word.
"Such a cocky persok. Talk about bad service." She scoffed eating the pineapple and choked on it when she realised she wasn't in her room.
"Where am I even?" She clutched onto her aching head. She quickly swallowed all the pills and ran outside searching for her room.
"Oh god. Why was I in another room?" She felt her head spin and only moments later there was a thunderous knock on her door. When she opened it to see Bokuto's angry face, her very life drained from her body. She opened her mouth to talk but she had no voice anymore.
"You took your pills on an empty stomach" the bass in his voice made her take a step back.
"What are you doing here?! Why was I in your room? Why would you-"
"You're welcome" he said, stepping aside so the room service could keep the breakfast in her room. "I didn't want to show myself but you ran away without eating anything"
"You shouldn't have" she angrily said. "Now leave!"
"I will" he smiled "Eat well, princess. You need it" he said before leaving.
She sat in her bed, her legs still trembling from when she saw Bokuto again. "Why is he even here? Why is he here now?" She hated how she felt. She hated it even worse since she could run into Akaashi's arms for feeling so uncomfortable. He was always there, always soothing her with kind words and showering all his love on her. Unconditionally.
For the first time in her entire existence, she felt lonely. She always preferred being left alone, she hadn't imagine how, one day, she'd really feel lonely. Seikan stayed in all day, wallowing in eternal hangover that didn't seem to fade.
"The best cure to a hangover..." she wore a pretty dress and made herself look a little more presentable "...is another drink"
As much as her insides screamed that it was a bad idea she was rather ready to die because of an organ malfunction instead of sulking all day.
"Tequiilaa..." she smiled at her glass before shooting it down her throat "You're kinder than cognac... maybe even whiskey"
"You're here today?" The same sketchy stranger from the previous evening occupied the stool beside hers.
"I am" she coldly said before resuming her drink. A few drinks later she was feeling rather unusual.
"So you drink on the regular?"
"Yes"
"Do you like tequila?"
"Yes"
"Can I get you a dri-"
"No"
"Geez, give this poor man a chance"
"No"
"Why not? I'm actually a nice guy"
"N-"
"She said she doesn't want to be bothered" when the tall figure towered between them, she went livid. "I never said that" she ate her own words for the sake of NEVER being on Bokuto's side. Bokuto eyed the glasses on her table and sighed to himself before gripping her arm and throwing her over his shoulder "Now if you'll excuse us" he said before leaving the bar.
"Put me down!!" She hit his back. "I said put me down!"
She was angrier when he didn't respond to anything she said "Put me down this instant and never show me your face again"
His breathing only grew heavier as she hurled her words at him but his grip around her only tightened. He set her on her bed and pulled the sheets over her "Sleep"
"I don't want to! I want to go back and-"
"You've had enough for today"
"And who do you think you are, telling me what to do"
"I will lock you in your own suite if I hear one more complaint from you" he finally threatened her to shut her up before leaving.
She almost screamed when she saw Bokuto sitting on one of the chairs in her room, looking at the ocean through the giant glass frame.
"What are you doing here? What do you think you're doing butting into my life out of nowhere!?"
"How are you feeling" he softly asked with a worried face.
"Answer me!" Her voice was trembling "OR GET THE HELL OUT OF MY-"
"He spiked your drink!" he blurted "He spiked your drink and I couldn't leave you there"
She sank back into her bed and covered her slid under the blankets with the embarrassment.
"Get dressed" he got out of his seat "I hope you're feeling better because you're coming back to Tokyo with me"
