Seikan watched him furiously ask Akaashi to toss the ball at him and when he did Bokuto launched himself in the air with his perfect form. His biceps scrunching as he held his position and spiked his infamous cut shot.

A gust of warm wind blew against her face and her eyes widened. That was a beautiful spike. Unlike hers would ever be. Her feet wouldn't move, that spike carved into her mind in seven different ways. She wanted to see it again. And again. There was something about his glowing face and the smile that formed on his face just before he spiked. His face was so expressive, he'd know if his spike would make it through or not as soon as he'd propel himself in the air. The confidence he had was something extraordinary, his confidence was not like hers. It was reckless yet well preserved. But the thing that fascinated her even more was something else.

"HEYYY HEYYYY HEEEYYYYYYYY!" His tough arms grittily surfed through the air with the momentum of his cheer.

Seikan was always a good judge of character. All she needed was a five minute observation but he confused her senses more than anything or anyone else. The rigour his face bore while asking for the toss was so different than his expressions now. But if there's anything she realised, it was that Bokuto had still not given his 100%. She knew he'd put up a brilliant fight against the Ushijima Wakatoshi himself, whom she knew because of her brother's acquaintance and he was the only ace she'd ever acknowledged.

He looked at Seikan and flashed a big smile at her almost like he was grateful to her for being there and she blankly looked at him like she'd spaced out. She thought he was smiling at someone behind her and simply watch his smile drop into a small frown.

He was sad that she didn't smile back at him.

"Bokuto san..." Akaashi shook him awake. "The captain said we made it to the team"

He simply nodded at Akaashi who seemed to get a hint of what was happening, he saw that the silver haired boy's mind was elsewhere but Seikan was nowhere around.

"We have to go, the girls have their tryouts now" he pulled him out of the court.

"Nice kill" he heard a small, divine voice. He shot his head towards the source of the voice and saw Seikan right beside him but facing the other way, her eyes were fixed on the court. She was dressed in her shorts assuring him that she had disappeared to change and warm up. When he saw her tiny shorts and her pink little jersey, the heat rose to his face as his eyes helplessly scanned her. He stared at her like she was of celestial creation before Akaashi cleared his throat and so did Bokuto's mind when he heard it.

"Ah... T-Thanks" he shakily stood at the side making sure he had a good view of her.

"Tendou... can you serve first?" The newbies asked and she nodded taking the ball in her hand.

"Stay alert!" The captain alerted her team on the other side.

"It's no use" she mumbled to herself, bouncing the ball off the ground. She recklessly threw the ball in the air. It really wasn't meant to look like that but that's how she just was. She took weird steps towards the end line and jumped so formlessly, everyone had fallen quiet. Her lanky arm swung like she was throwing a stone at a random person's head but when it touched the ball, Bokuto swore his soul fled from his carcass. It speared through the air with such brute force, the loud, rambunctious noise was the only thing heard with virtually no time lapse. The ball impacted the corner of the court and flew off into the farthest distance of the gymnasium. She sloppily landed back and stretched her neck to look at the ceiling because of the recoil.

She wasn't as graceful as Bokuto was, she didn't possess an immaculate style either. Even though it looked aimless and desultory, she'd calculated that line serve as soon as her hand held the ball. Her formless style managed to conceal her aim, it misled all predictions. They wouldn't see it coming and that's exactly how she liked it to be. She walked back out, spinning a ball in her hand even before the stunned referee blew the whistle.

A few service aces later she let them have it. But it got even worse when she stepped inside the court. All Bokuto could see was an alien-like pink flash dash through the court. Even her jumps were supremely weird. Her arms bonelessly moved like fluid and her spikes were just as dangerous as her serves, if not more. If the other side scored points, it because she'd let them save face. They won the set with a huge margin and Seikan wasn't even breaking a sweat. She listened to the captain congratulate her on making the team and politely bowed before taking her leave.

Seikan had everyone's attention there. There were now even more eyes gawking at her stellar performance. They swallowed their own judgment because no matter how cold she was, her skills more than made up for it.

Bokuto looked at his feet in horror, the goosebumps that rose on his skin were sending shockwaves across his body. He was internally struggling to move his muscles. "That's so scary!" he grinned "She's amazing"

Seikan had one thing on her mind for now. Defeating Aiko's team. Shiratorizawa Gakuen. Seikan was someone who fuelled on sweet revenge. She wanted to put the former captain in her place. She didn't care about sportsmanship now, it was more personal and it was all because Aiko dragged it outside the match. She'd return a blow with a bazooka. In her face. It was only days until the qualifiers and Seikan worked with her team. She crawled home every day after practice.

"Sei Seiiii!" Tendou was home for the weekend.

"Tadaima" she whispered before rolling to her room in exhaustion.

She took a quick shower and fell on her bed. She was so drained she couldn't even move to go have dinner. Her eyes were forcing themselves shut.

The door of her room creaked opened "Sei, you there?" Tendou's head peeked.

"Yeah" she groaned and he walked in with a bowl of ramen "You shouldn't sleep on an empty stomach. Especially after practice"

She nodded taking the bowl from him "Arigato"

She sipped the broth like a dead man and took a deep breath once she felt the warm liquid slide down her throat.

"Sei sei..."

"Please don't call me that" she coldly said, enjoying her warm ramen.

"Sei chaaannnn... my baby sister..."

She instantly stopped him "What do you need?"

"I need your sharpies"

"No"

"I won't touch pink, I swear! I just want the blue. Even yellow will do. Please!"

"Touch my sharpies and you're dead" she said in a low tone and he scoffed

"You can't choose sharpies over your favourite person!"

"But you're not my favourite person"
