"AND FOR THIS MATCH. THE ACE FOR OUR TEAM..." he dramatically pumped his fist in the air "...WILL BE SEIII CHAAANNN!!!"

"Bokuto san????" Akaashi looked at him in shock. "You don't... want to be the ace???" Bokuto always wanted to be the ace.

"Ah, it's Sei chan's time to shine today" he said making her want to run and hide. She wasn't used to all the attention and when his team let out a series of 'oooh's and 'aaahh's she was a crumbling mess.

"N-No, that's-" she tried to detest.

"SEI CHAN!!! You better be ready!" He said before leaving to serve first.

Seikan was more absent minded than ever. She was more receptive of her surroundings now that he put her in the spotlight. Her attention soon diverted towards the waves that smothered the beachy sands, the bubbles in the foam popping with a soft plosive sound.

She saw the sky. The bright blue sky and the warm white clouds that unsurprisingly reminded her of Bokuto. The frosty owl on the other hand was watching the ball move across the court. He saw Seikan looking at the sky instead of preparing herself to block the incoming spike.

"KUSOO!!" He cursed when the ball hit him instead. In an attempt to block the ball from impaling her he tripped, landing them both on the soft sand.

"Sei Chan!!! That's dangerous. What were you looking at?? Where-" he lost his words when she began to giggle.

"N-Nani?" He was awestruck. Confused too but more mesmerised. Seikan felt better under Bokuto's touch. The worried look on his face somehow made her bloat in joy.

"Are you okay?" She asked when she snapped out of it and he stuttered "Y-Yeah"

Bokuto didn't understand why he felt hotter than everyone else there did. His face was warmer than usual and so were his hands as he helped her up.

"Sumimasen" she apologised before they resumed their game again.

"NOOOOO TOUCHHH AAACCEEEE!!!" He howled after her service and she wanted to bury herself in the sand.

"See ya later!! Don't cry on your way back!" Bokuto teased the other team which lost with a miserable score difference.

"Sei chan! Take me to that place you found!" He put his arm around her.

"Now?" She asked and he nodded.

"Ok-"

"BOKKUNN!!! I didn't see you all morning!" Kiara came running in the most revealing outfit Seikan had laid her eyes on. Bokuto noticed at her small scoff and her pouting face "Princess, what's wrong?" He smiled. He knew exactly what was wrong.

"I don't like her" She mumbled.

"Why?" He wanted to hear it from the stoic ace.

Seikan didn't want to answer. She tried her best to evade that question. She'd never been outspoken about her feelings and she didn't know how to either.

"Tell me why and I'll make sure she leaves us alone" he whispered. That made her think her options twice. As much as she wanted to NOT answer his question, the deal seemed too nice to pass.

"She's... not nice"

"So?" A small smile curved the edge of his lips.

"And she... gets too close... to you" Seikan knew this was a bad idea but she'd jumped into it head first and there was no going back.

"So?" He drew closer to her, knowing well how his plan was working.

"But you're... my boyfriend" she deadpanned and he'd never been so elated to keep his promise. To make sure Kiara left them alone.

"That's a good girl" he snarkily cooed before softly kissing her lips and Kiara's jaw dropped.

"What in the world" her friends were shocked "You said he liked you still"

A wicked smile appeared on her face as she kissed him back, giving Kiara a glimpse of something she'll never have again.

"Oh, you wanted that, didn't you?" He chuckled and she looked away with a flustered face "I don't know what you're talking about" she said.

"Did Akaashi get to see this?" He pouted at the scenery.

"Yeah" she said.

They sat on the edge watching the sea until sunset and the noisiest thing there was Bokuto who was going on and on about how dejected he'd felt when she used to ignore him almost every day.

"I wanted to give you this for a while now..." he ruffled his hands through his backpack and her curiosity spiked.

"Here, it's getting cold" he handed her a pink ball of fluff.

Seikan unfolded it to see the cutest pastel pink knitted sweater she'd ever seen "OH!" She exclaimed. And on the back was her name carefully embroidered with a darker, musky pink thread.

"This is so..." she held it closer to her chest "So pretty" she looked at him "Arigato"

"Do you like it?" He asked "Obaasan made it for you"

"I like it very much" she said "Thank you"

"I'll miss you" he said "we'll go back to Tokyo tomorrow and I don't know if I can bear with not seeing you all day"

"How are you so nice all the time?" She accidentally blurted before regretting it.

"I'm only nice when I have to be" he said "I don't see a lot of nice people around me so I try to be nice. Well, at least most of the time. I know I get annoying but that's just become a part of-"

"That's so cool" she said and he forgot what he was saying. She didn't regret that question anymore. "I don't know why someone would find you annoying" it was weird for her to voice her opinions like that. She decided to stop because she sounded so different.

"Sei chan..." Bokuto had a smile on his face.

"Hmm?"

"You try so hard to be mean. But..." he smiled wider "you're the softest person I've seen so far"

"That's not true!" she was quick to refute it.

"Now I'm certain of it" he smirked.

Her eyes caught a glimpse of the fluffy clouds in the amber sky "I'd almost forgotten what it looks like" she mumbled under her breath and Bokuto just watched her alluring eyes trace the sky. He saw her irises sparkle, the same way it did for a second when he first called her beautiful after she ran into him on the first day of school. He knew he was smitten for her when he realised that she looked prettier with every passing day.

Akaashi was back in Bokuto's room with a smug face but when he saw Seikan walk behind him in that pink sweater his smirk dropped. "Are you two back together?" He asked.

"Yeah, so you can stop flirting with her now" he scoffed and Akaashi let out an awkward chuckle.

"Sei chan..." he saw her look at his jersey "What is it?" He asked

"I want one of those" she whispered.

"My jersey?" His eyes shone like the stars when she nodded.

"Wait here, I have tons of those!" He opened his wardrobe.

"That one?" She pointed at one in the left corner.

"That's Akaashi's. You can pick one from these on the right" he said.

"Is that one yours?" she pointed at the black fabric.

"Oh, that's a good one. But you'll drown in it" he gave her his jersey and she smiled like a shy kid.

"I'll see you at dinner, baby" he kissed her face before she went sprinting back to her room to put it on.

Akaashi was still not very comfortable with the whole situation. "Bokuto san..." he tried to play his character knowing that Bokuto wouldn't realise that it was how he really felt.

"I think she'd look nicer in my jersey"
