Seikan's eyes moved like re-animated Madara's during the Great Ninja war. Even though she looked like she was plotting deaths, she was having loads of fun.

"Seikan, I guess you should stop ripping them off like-" the captain zipped her mouth when she saw how intensely she was concentrating on the game.

When she saw Aiko, the last bit of her sympathy faded. She generously handed them their deaths as they won the game in straight sets.

"The next time you run your mouth, make sure you have enough backup" Seikan politely told Aiko but sighed just a moment after "Don't mind, try harder next time"

"Seikan, why you so nice to them?" Mina was pouting.

"Because no matter how hard they try, they'll never win" she nonchalantly dropped the mic before walking away from the noisy arena.

"SEII CHAN, YOU'RE AMAZING!" Bokuto was swelling in joy.

"T-Thanks..." a faint hue of pink appeared on her face.

"IKAN!"

Bokuto saw her face go pale in an instant before she turned to look at the person who called her.

"A-Arata san..." her voice fell into a soft whisper.

"Why did you have to leave Shiratorizawa??!" He held her shoulders "You should've smacked some sense into me instead!"

"Sei chan, who is he?" Bokuto's brows had knitted in annoyance. One word and he'd have thrown the boy out of Tokyo with his bare hands for even laying his hands on her. But his heart dropped into a pile of snow when she dropped the bomb, "My ex"

"Ikan, I know you're mad at me I'm s-"

"Why are you here?" Her small, angelic voice made Bokuto shiver. She was melting faster than ice on fire and his heart was burning just as fast.

"I came to see you"

"From Miyagi?" She raised her brows.

"From Miyagi" he said "Ikan, you know I don't even play volleyball. I'm here for you... can I talk to you?" He eyed her and then Bokuto.

"Absolutely not!" Bokuto said "She has semis in a while"

"Ikan, please..." he said "I need to talk to you"

As much as she wanted him to leave, she'd spent a lot of time with him. He was the first and the only person she'd gone soft for before and he ghosted her when she needed him the most. His departure from her life made her take steps back from Bokuto too and as much as she knew that it was wrong to do it to Bokuto, she did not want to risk it; risk her vulnerable side to someone who could manipulate it even better but he was someone she opened up to and he dropped her.

"TAKE YOUR HANDS-"

"It's okay..." she turned towards Bokuto "I'll be back in a while"

Bokuto's heart broke. The fact that he had quarter finals in a while completely slipped from his mind and he watched her walk away, with a baby face. His mind hit an all time low and his feet refused to move. "S-Sei... chan..."

She retracted her hand when Arata tried to hold hers.

"I know you hate me" he awkwardly said when they walked out the doors of the gymnasium "I know you'll never forgive m-"

"What do you want?" She eyed the taller blonde.

He had pale brown eyes, like creamy coffee and hazelnut syrup. She looked at his longing eyes, the ones that pleaded her to listen to him. She really went soft for him and she hated it still. "I need to talk to you" he said. He was the bright fire in her life for a really long time, his gleaming smile was something she looked forward to most days.

"Why now?"

"Because I know I'm a fool... please hear me out"

"Speak" she tried to stay cold and heartless like everyone said she was. He shuddered when he felt her icy wind brush past him.

"Sei... kan..." he gave us a big sad smile "It's really hard without you"

"I apologise for everything I've done. I don't deserve to even stand before you let alone speak. But you're something I can't ignore." He said "I tried to but I can't"

"Too bad" she was breaking inside.

Bokuto was completely out of his mind. Akaashi has begun worrying if he was having another breakdown. But when he saw his dull eyes, he freaked out.

"Bokuto... san..."

"I should've been better" Bokuto said eyeing his shoelaces "I should've been nicer. I'm a real pain sometimes, aren't I?"

"What's wrong?"

"I wish I did more for Seikan" a tear dropped on the floor. It wasn't a tantrum. It wasn't another mood swing, he was genuinely heart broken.

"It's okay." Akaashi said "You should go see if he's troubling her"

Seikan had never been more confused in her entire existence, she was always one with the sound mind.

"I know you needed me." Arata guiltily said "And I wasn't around"

"I'm thankful you did that" she said in all honesty. She learned to never need someone because of him.

"Ikan... please don't make me feel any shittier" he had the same smile plastered on his face but his eyes glossed. "Are you with someone?"

"Why?"

"Tell me"

"Why should I?"

"I want to know if someone else has seen your worth because, I swear, if they already have... I don't stand a chance anymore"

"Okay"

"I know we meant nothing to you..." he said "But I love you"

Seikan had the shock of her life.

"I tried not to but I can't" tears flowed down his face. She gave him a small hug as he buried his face in her shoulder and cried "I can't do it"

Bokuto's heart ripped out of his chest. He sloppily walked back in as soon as he saw Arata hug her tight. He bumped into a lot of people on his way back. His vision wasn't so clear either.

Seikan pulled back as soon as he was a little better "I can't do this" she truthfully said.

"I can change myself... I'll change anything you don't like, I promise"

"I don't think I can"

"Please tell me why"

"Because I'm a darker person now" she said. That wasn't a lie. She had grown darker because she stood before Bokuto. His bright, halo like radiance making her seem like the darkest of the shadows. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't used all her weapons of escape. Arata surely was the most fulgent person she'd seen...

Until Bokuto.

She tried to push the deepest shards of ice into him and he'd only melt them with how warm he was.

"I have to go" she ran back inside to get to his game. She wouldn't miss it for something that wasn't a part of her life anymore. She came to an abrupt halt before the railings of the balcony searching for him, but when her heterochromatic irises fell on him she thought her eyes were deceiving her mind. She even let out a small gasp.

Bokuto was on the bench.
