Forbidden Mystery [INFREQUENT UPDATES]

Chapter 4

After they casted the malfunction spell at the same time, it reflected from the door and hit them. Emma, Jax, and Maddie fell unconscious, leaving Andi to save them. She ran downstairs without being seen by Sibuna and the Council and convinced Daniel to help her wake them up without anyone knowing but them. He first agreed but shut her out once they saw their bodies were glowing.

"Uh... I better go. See you tommorow, pal?" he stuttered and ran away.

Andi hid beside the beds and witnessed their clones appearing unintentionally; Evil Emma, Jax Junior, and Evil Maddie, who appear to be planning to steal the tears of gold.

"It's good to be back." Evil Emma murmured.

"Back? I just got here now." Evil Maddie said.

"Tears of gold, here we come." Jax Jr. muttered.

In the other hand, the Council, with the help of Sibuna, is searching for the Chosen One, unbeknownst to Sibuna that it is their fellow housemate, Emma. Nina, Fabian, and Eddie team up to fix the puzzle; the key to opening up the first portal to the maze of Gold, a large maze with the big prize; the Tears of Gold.

On the following day...

Andi's POV
I woke up to the one of the worst alarms possible, loud coughs by my roommate. I was too lazy to turn around and see who it was.

"Andi..." Em groaned.

I turned around to see Emma feeling so weak. She had colds and a fever. How is this possible? She was perfectly fine last night... until... the incident happen. I can't browse through the Hexoren right now because Nina might become suspicious. And then this flashback came to me:

*Flashback (Season 1 Episode 17: Witches' Flu)*
I went into Emma's room and it looked like a pink forest. She has been catching the "Witches' Flu" all day. In one sneeze, she made a bunch of trees appear uncontrollably. In another, a bunch of jelly beans. And then another, glitter appears, and then pink balloons, this room is overflowing with pink... and I mean PINK.

Later on, I helped Emma up from her bed into the dining room wherein they gave us a different look. Maddie and Jax look sick as well.

"Great. Now she's sick, too." Diego said, "Who's next? Me?"

I rolled my eyes as we sat down.

Minutes later, worst case scenario happened: Emma sneezed in front of everyone. At least she covered her mouth. This guy holding a puzzle thingymajig got surprised and dropped it.

"Nice going, Yacker." Patricia sarcastically said.

But when Em put her hands down, she had jellybeans in her hands.

"Oh no. Not this again." I complained.

"I'm not even going to school today." she commented.

"Oh don't bother." I replied, "That flu is hitting you off, Chosen One."

Nina froze for a while and looked at me, then so did her other friends.

"What did you just say?" Alfie asked.

"Did I just hear someone say Chosen One?" Fabian asked as well.

I just remembered that they probably had something to do with the Council so I lied to them.

"I said: That flu is hitting you off 'cause of one... incident that happened." I lied, "I forgot to complete my sentence, sorry about that."

Everyone went back to eating until it happened again. The witch... or shall I say wizard named Jax sneezed. A small piece of wood fell down from the ceiling and hit Daniel. Jax smirked while everyone else, including me, looked at Daniel in shock as he rubbed his head after being hit.

"Okay, would someone tell me what was that?" Patricia asked.

I tried to escape the conversation but something distracted me. My phone buzzed to see Emma text me to meet me outside of the house. I looked at Em and she was even too sick to use her phone. I showed her the text message and said it wasn't her. Great, another worst case scenario happened: It's probably E.

"Jax, Maddie, Em, outside. We need to talk for a while." I said.

We stood up from the table and went near the stairs.

"I have bad news." I started.

Maddie said, "Look, if this *cough* is about your video games, we don't-"

"It's not."

"Then what is it then?" Jax asked.

"Well, first..."

"Great, that means there's more than one."

"You guys can't go out of your rooms until further announcement."

"What?! Andi, you're not the boss of me."

"Well, as a future guardian-in-training, I'm just trying to help you guys."

"From what?" Emma asked.

"Look, remember you had the Witches' Flu two years ago? Well, if I remember correctly, when you sneeze, you cast a random spell." I added, "Like for example, Em made jelly beans appear... again. Then Jax made a small part of the ceiling fall on Daniel."

"I still don't see why I should stay on my bed all day." Maddie complained.

"You have powers! You guys are witches! You can't control them BECAUSE YOU'RE SICK." I loudly said.

"Ehm... Wizard." Jax corrected. I rolled my eyes on him.

When I look from the living room door, I saw Alfie peeking and hearing out on our conversation. He was about to tell the others.

"Quick, cast a memory-wiping spell!" I nudged Jax.

After he did, they all went to their rooms while I got ready for school. I then realized that I forgot to tell them about the clones. Oh no.
